Like in section eight when the personification is used for fire “tongues of flame licking under the door” it presents terror. Because, Simon Armitage has used personification on the things such as fire which has caused peoples deaths, it implies other humans have done it, and this has an emotional effect on the reader because it makes them realise it wasn’t just a plane that caused this, a human inflicted all those deaths. Infallibility is likes to present terror because the facts have been stated that the towers are shown to be relied upon because things like wind can’t hurt them. But the fact is they can’t be as they were damaged by the plane so easily. This demonstrates illogic and things being
Summary Analysis Homework George F. Will’s article “Being Green at Ben and Jerry’s” is an interesting case of irony on the American environment and our governments oil crisis. Will uses sarcasm and good cases of evidence to criticize and provoke environmentalists. The reason why Will does this is because the environmentalists would rather deepen the hole in America’s economic wallet rather than take a chance on manufacturing that would save money and improve the economy. George Will’s article is overall very good at proving his point but some things are unclear. He also talks about the current corruption that is occurring between environmentalist and politicians.

Cold weather can cause problems like frost on the windshield. It can make you go and start your car earlier so your windshield will defrost. You can also wait until the last second and search for an extension cord and then plug it into your hair dryer so you can defrost your windshield with it.

Critical Lens “A book must be an ax, to break the frozen sea in us” – Kafka Another way of saying the above quote is that a book must be a tool that penetrates your inner feelings. In other words, the book you read must have an impact in your life or change the way you see the world. I agree with this and I will show how the book “The World in 2050” by Laurence Smith deeply affects us because of its copious information which both upset and inspire. The book “The World in 2050” by Laurence Smith is an eye opener that makes us realize the damages we are doing to our planet and the changes we are going to experience through that years. For example, according to Laurence Smith, Shanghai will be under water.
In the paper Attention Deficit: The Brain Syndrome of Our Era, the author Richard Restak describes the potential health hazards that developing technology and the advancement of modernity in our society today has on human brains. Restak focuses only on the negative aspects of new technology and he even touches upon some of his own negative experiences. He discusses crawlers that were originally created as an early storm warning system that showed up on the top of television screens, which have now developed into something, “ubiquitous, forcing an ongoing split in our attention and a constant state of distraction” (Restak 411). While watching an interview with the First Lady Restak found himself focusing more on the crawlers that were discussing

Advantages /Disadvantages The advantages of a command and control regulations are more preferred in cases where there are highly toxic pollutants, which are a concern for people and the environment. Also, they are preferred when the initial reduction in the amount of pollutant significantly benefits society. Some disadvantages include; technology is constantly changing which makes it very difficult for the regulatory agency to stay current with more effective methods. Also, they limit the firm’s ability to find most cost-effective ways to continue production while reducing pollution.
Not only is this right one given to us by our founding fathers but taking them away would be rewriting what this country was founded on. That alone is worth standing up for, but there are other reasons why banning guns would not only hurt America but make it a more dangerous place to be. The idea that a person intending to do bad things must think twice about it due to the fact that the subject may or may not be wielding a fire arm has protected more lives than can be determined and banning guns would just concrete this truth. I think in order to determine what must be done, the people in charge must take into account the best solution for America and not just appeasing a certain party, this being said the right to bear arms as according to the Constitution, must be preserved because it benefits the American people far more than it
