1. Introduction Over the past years, the effect of globalisation on today’s hospitality industry world markets had change tremendously due to the human resources, services and education that branch out into various types of service providers to clientele (Seggie and Griffith, 2008). Globalisation can be classified as the economic, financial, trade and communication integration of the worldwide movement. Business Dictionary (2010) defined globalisation as ‘opening out beyond local and nationalistic perspectives to a broader outlook of an interconnected and inter-dependent world with free transfer of capital, goods, and services across national frontiers’. On the other hand, hospitality industry is one of the oldest businesses in the world whereby people dine and travel for leisure and work purpose seen the pass decade (Gailliard, 2010). Hospitality industries or can be known as service industry include of leisure, travel and tourism that make it one of the largest industries to generate income and jobs creation for most countries. According to Honey and Gilpin (2009) international tourism is the fourth largest industry in global economy that earn approximately $1 trillion in 2008 which up by 1.8% from 2007 compare to chemicals, automotive products and fuels. This had proved hospitality industry might be the world’s fastest growing industry and leading earnings of foreign currency. Throughout this research, I will provide an enhanced understanding the importance data on the key success factor and effect of globalisation in hospitality industry. In addition, I will discuss the influence and the importance of education, human resource, marketing and franchising towards the hospitality industry. Hence, there will be some examples given for further understanding. Research Objectives 1. To study on the evolution of the globalised hospitality world
