Because his loyalty to his father is so strong, he continues to mourn his father even though his uncle and his mother have already persuaded the court as well as the kingdom to embrace the new reign. Another example in which Hamlet demonstrates his loyalty to his father is when he vows to carry out or fulfill the wishes of the ghost of his father. By promising to avenge his father and kill his uncle, he sacrifices his reputation, sanity and
“Daddy finally accepted it, because he wanted to follow his brother and Christ. But he had more of a temper. Daddy and [his father Martin Luther King Sr.] both had fiery tempers. That is why they fought a lot.” Usually at his brother’s side, A.D. King pastored churches in Birmingham and Louisville and became a significant civil rights figure in each of those cities. In 1963, at the height of the contentious Birmingham movement, his house was bombed and his family barely escaped
The reader can understand the relationship between father and son by simply reading the salutation. Chesterfield directly refers to his son as, “boy,” this shows his lack of respect for him along with his absence of familial weakness to him in contrast to his wife, which he states further on in the letter. Another example of diction that shows his values is how he repeatedly reminds his son that he is young; this is used to belittle his son and make his advice carry more weight. Last, he uses the word, “friend,” to give the tone in which he wishes to give his advice. He sought to give advice as a peer rather than a parent, which shows his devotion to his son because he is not acting like the dominant father he very clearly is.
The French would fight for Texas later on, however would lose in the French and Indian War, but Texas later on in history would be apart of the United States. Moving forward, La Salle’s ego got the best of him. The exploration was an opportunity to control the Mississippi Valley ports, perfect warfare positions against the Spanish ships and block England’s westward expansion (p. 35). After countless failures in the sea, ruthless navigation strategies, senseless of his men, bloodshed war with the Karankawn Indians, La Salle died by the hands of his men. The failure of the exploration created a lost of hope for La Salle’s men.
One from John states that He was “very much pained to find…that I have a brothers who would advocate sending men here to butcher his own friends and relations…I have always opposed secession but I shall vote for it today because I intend to submit to black Republican rule.” John also told James that by becoming a Republican he had forsworn “home, mother, father, and brothers and were willing to sacrifice all for a the dear nigger” (15-16). 1) Duty/honor : pg.19&22/24 2) Rights/Defense: pg.19/22 Combat motivation 1) Manhood:pg.78 2) Pride and
He felt let down in his father, as he didn't arrest anyone or carry a gun, "And that disappointed me at times". David saw Wes as a great role model later when he realized what a challenge it was choosing between being a brother, sheriff and an employer to Marie. David starts to see his father in a different way because of the difficult situation he was in, evidence of this is shown when he "could appreciate the situation his father was in" therefore gaining respect for him. Unlike Wes, Frank was a negative role model to David. In Montana shows that David believed that Frank was the perfect "manly" role model until his true colours showed.

I suppose British General Cornwallis was quite engaged with the constant French attacks and for a second in this brawl, he forgot about us. From what I had heard the French had successfully blocked Cornwallis’s supplies and were preparing to attack. Upon hearing this news we immediately celebrated even though we had not even begun the battle. I soon began to feel grief for us American and could comprehend the reason for the French’s behavior. They merely wanted to win the battle to go home but, they felt this would not be possible with an unorganized, uncivilized, and brutal American army fighting alongside them.

In the future I will feel a big regret from the many of lives I have taken. I am a horseback with a sword and a strong fighter. The life of so many innocent people is easily taken with the swing of a sword and the gallop of my trusty steed. Very interesting stories have been told of people lost in battles by the fire every night.
