Tour companies who on-sell tickets to the game (which cannot be done, as you must buy a package unless you are a particular type of club member) and add on another event such as a grand final breakfast or an after game package. 4.0 Weber Bros Circus 4.1 If the event is part of the MICE industry, explain its relationship to tourism, local economy and industry. The circus was not part of the MICE industry, but with that said it did bring a slight rise in the local economy and tourism. There were around 55 people involved in one way or another, and nearly all members having medium to high disposable incomes, would on days off from performing travel to offshore islands for overnight stays or take day trips around the area. Also food for human and animal consumption is required in a new town and was normally brought in large quantities. 4.2 Does the event include opportunities for Entertainment? There were limited opportunities for entertainment, but they did have a Laser Game and Pony Rides. Also during larger events that the circus was a part of such as the Gold Coast Festival the intermission time was extended from 15mins to 30mins so that a local four piece band could play.
