However although there has always been social classes, there have been changes due to (natural changes in society). Upper class The upper class members of society are commonly associated with families who are extended who are interconnected by marriage. In terms of education, upper class choose to send their children to expensive public schools, for example, Oxford and Cambridge universities which leads to them being associated with being wealthy. In 1991 Scott argued that universities such as Oxford and Cambridge is to mould the ideas and views of pupils so that they realize the common upper-class culture interests. Upper class interests and hobbies are more likely to focus on higher cultural pursuits such as classical music, opera and ballet.
Financial aid is viewed as the difference between how much a family can afford and how much the cost of college will be. Students who play varsity sports could possibly be offered scholarships based on their ability to play for their college. These scholarships exist because school sports are a large part of a college’s national marking. Top high school athletes will often get offered full-ride scholarships, while other student athletes may be offered extra financial help in their financial aid package. Lastly, local scholarships can be found in a student’s high school or hometown.
In the video, the dance looked like it was very easy to execute but having already been in the technique class all year, it is amazing to know that doing the movements correctly is actually difficult. May O’Donnell constructs her pieces with the use of spacial structure. She organizes her dancers so that different groups are spread out differently throughout the stage and at times she uses all dancers in one singular spacial structure, like a diagonal. She changes the organization on stage frequently so that the audience would be constantly captivated by the rapid action on stage. She also uses many other choreographic tools to keep the attention of the audience and bring contrast to her piece.
It increases the support of the alumni, creating more active parents. This results in more donations if their children are enrolled in the same school they once were. With these donations, schools are able to maintain lower tuition costs benefitting the school and the students. Also, government interference would limit the tradition of the universities. It is unfair to single out legacy students as the ones who have the advantage of being accepted disregarding academics.

With new trends came new dance moves such as the “Swing”, “The Bop”, and still popular today, “The Hand Jive”. These new trends made such a huge impact in the 1950’s that we have seen many of them come and go over the decades. Also, more money in their pockets led to teenagers having the desire to have an education and go to college rather than stay at home or work. They soon learned that having an education was the key to having a successful career later on in their life, allowing them to obtain more of these “extra” things that they soon
The U.S’s global status is being overtaken by China and India due to the dedicated youths who push the standards of education higher. Some will argue that America’s younger generation has become complacent because of the economic stability. In America students spend approximately 900 hours in school a year and 1,600 watching TV. Neil, a senior at high school in Indiana, is top in his class, has a girlfriend, is president of student counsel, and is involved in various other clubs. That’s impressive.
The parents today tell their children to do well in school and bring that education back to help out their people. Just knowing some people who dropped out of school getting pregnant and got their GED are now still at home relying heavily on government handouts but they seem to have some money in their pocket to go out and buy beer. A lot of elders don’t even have a high school diploma or even a college degree but they rely on their social security checks they get every month, local chapters, and the
According to an article in Slate On, the poor and low income people in our society are more overweight than the wealthy. This psychological behavior transcends to other cultures as well, telling me that people don’t really want equality but superiority. Regardless of the parts of the world you are from, someone always wants to feel superior to someone else. Though Americans did inherit the “wanting more” trait from the frontier opportunities, there were an influx of other nationalities flocking to America for the same opportunities (82). Likewise, they too have adopted the “hunger for more” mentality because they are financially able to adopt the psychological want.
Uniforms are expensive, it might not be to wealthy families but it is a lot to families who are less fortunate. You might look at having uniforms is a money saving opportunity but it really isn't. What is your child going to wear outside of school? They obviously can't wear a uniform out of school unless they want to be made fun of. Basically as a parent, you are paying for two sets of uniforms and everyday clothes for students to wear out of school!
