ESE 315 WEEK 5 JOURNAL POSITION STATEMENT ESE 315 Week 5 Journal Position Statement, As I read the statement in “Early Childhood Inclusion: A Summary”, I came up with the conclusion of what the creation of a sense of belonging and membership, positive relationships and reaching full potential means when working with all young children and families. First, I would make sure that my classroom environment accommodates all my students and the parents feel comfortable with their child in the environment also. Throughout my teaching career and working with all children and families I have discovered that the best therapy a child can have is from their peers, therefore making the classroom environment as confident and warm as possible has always been a key and success for me. I have always had a classroom where all kids were included and this made all my students more peaceful and kind to one another and vey proud in their work and others as well. Since, I have been thinking of different ways of creating environments, seeing children’s strengths, abilities, and communicating with families during this class, I am going to briefly discuss two things I plan to implant in my professional experience.

Assignment 013- Understand Partnership Working in Services for Children and Young People Task A Why is it important for children and young people that you work in partnership with the following people/groups? Parents, carers and guardians This partnership is very important because parents or carers need to trust the nursery and staff that work there. They will expect the best quality of care for their child. Partnering well with the parent or carer of the child will increase good communication including sharing important information regarding the child needs, wants and development. Building trust with parents or carers will result in them knowing that the nursery is a very good place for their child as it offers a great amount of help and support, which is especially important for new parents or carers.
In short values in a school are directions the head, the teachers, school governors and the majority of the parents wish to see their children achieve and strive towards. 3.2 Describe and give examples of how a school may demonstrate and uphold their aims. 3) gather information: are there any legal responsibilities, is understanding error free? 4) draft policy: can those who are expected to implement the policy comprehend the language and complexity of the policy. 5) Finalise and approval of the policy: usually the governors approve school policies. Lily’s Day Nursery is an example of a setting that promotes fair admission. On their website Lily’s Day Nursery states that their nursery “is in line with anti-discriminatory practice, equal opportunities and is inclusive to all”. Lily’s Day Nursery follows through with their claims by providing a wheelchair access and situating their nursery on a ground floor, which will “allow easy access”. This setting caters for children with mobility issues and ensures that they can still attend the nursery with ease. Lily’s Day Nursery helps families and children feel welcoming when families are thinking about sending their children to the nursery as their website says that they “will do all that is practicable to meet your demands”, this helps families feel that their needs will be met and considered.
Small World ensures safety, love, and quality care in every aspect of childcare and security/privacy is nothing short of just that! I would also like to comment on a recent observation I made with “Kayleigh” an ABC Teacher with an ECE masters degree at Small World. Kayleigh has a very bubbly, outgoing, and motivated personality. She works hard to ensure love is given to each individual child. She always greets the parents with the children in the morning using puppets, or any form of communication that is available at the particular time.
A place where children can partake in early education of the highest quality, and learn the early skills they need to develop. Recently, I had the chance to observe an outstanding preschool in the East Orange school district, called Harambee Community Child Care Center. Harambee is a Swahili word that signifies that coming together relationally, facing life not alone, but pulling together, recognizing the power of one, but also the power of many pulling together, easing the burden one might face. As I entered the classroom I was assigned to observe I noticed a very friendly, warm, welcoming and clean environment. I met with the director of Harambee, an older woman by the name of Mrs. Wendy.
Once a child gains a certain amount of HP’s they get a certificate to celebrate this achievement, which is awarded at the celebratory assembly in front of staff, peers and parents. We have recently brought in to a new literacy scheme called Read,Write Inc., this scheme encourages praise by using an action clap and saying. I personally like this way of encouraging the praise as it gets everyone motivated and involved. At St. Georges we are committed to making every child in the school feels safe, secure and protected. We follow the Every Child Matters (ECM) programme, and are constantly trying to achieve
