There are so many examples in the literature in the first-mover supersede by the late entrants such as: • Atari vs. Nintendo; • Apple’s Newton PDA vs. Palm Pilot PDA; • Charles Stack Online Bookstore vs. Amazon.com. Although the people were not knowing the company Charles Stack Online Bookstore and they thought that Amazon has superseded the second-mover BarnesandNoble.com. But the in reality the Amazon supersede his first-mover Charles Stack Online Bookstore. Second-mover firms are sometimes called "fast followers". When attempting to answer the question one can find that to define the first-mover advantage is too difficult and specially is very difficult to differentiate between an actual benefit and the blink benefit. There are many issues that do arise when one tries to clearly define "first-mover advantages". One of these issue is to estimate the company gain in term of benefit against their investment after being first to produce and market a particular product. Many researchers have done different studies to specify the accurate benefited for being the pioneer in the field but still the issue is not solve completely. So, there is a great opportunities for the researches in the area of first-mover advantage so the issue arises above get solved completely. Now-a-days, the far most concern is that almost there is no research has been conducted to determining the "resolution of technological and market uncertainty" and they both are assumed to be major factors in determining the optimal timing of product release. There is no methodology to decide whether the first-mover should accept or reject the inertia.
