Users of Facebook create a list of friends, update their status, Comment on the contents of other, they sometimes indicate that they like another user’s content, and to write private and public messages or just “poke” to indicate that they are in touch with each other online. They browse through the recent updates of their friends and sometimes respond to self-generated leads to new friends “People you may know”. They form communities and group and discuss issues pertaining to topic of their interests. They respond to the advertisements which keep flashing on the screen.
Because of this, there has been a massive effect on the amount of socialising between friends and family; using technology in online social messaging websites such as Bebo, MSN, Facebook and many more. Through these social messaging websites, more and more people can interact with their friends and family all over the world. An expert professor David Crystal has supported the idea of web-based messages and disagrees with the view that slang and contractions leads to a lower English standard of language. How Social Media Affect Us Introduction The social media is a way to communicate with your friends, to write and upload pictures, and it’s also a way to find out about many information and news that are going on around the world. However, how does the social media help spread information around the world and how does social media affect the people who use it? This research paper focuses on the impact and effects that the social media has on people. The impacts and effects that social media has on people are news and other information are spread faster and sooner on the social networks than other places and people are more time on the computer because of social media instead of doing homework or doing a sport or even exercising. I chose the topic of the social media for many reasons.

I see people intertwining with the use of social media in and out on a daily basis to keep up with life. The use of social media technology is also being used in the education world and is becoming increasingly more normal in classrooms all across our country. There are handful of benefits behind the use of social media in an educational system.
The advantages of social media would be to stay in contact with family and friends that are not living close to visit. For example, Facebook is the most viewed media site (Campbell, 2014). It allows people to communicate with people all over the world. Keeping in touch with family via this social media allows pictures to be posted and viewed, videos and other events that would be missed. The disadvantages of social media would be when it’s used inappropriately.
