Advantages of Renting College Student Apartments Near Campus August 23rd, 2010 by Rachael Weiner ShareThis When you’re a student, living near campus is one of the college student apartments available has its advantages. In fact, living on the opposite side of town from your college or university in a nicer apartment complex makes little sense. Here are some of the advantages of renting nearby. Long Commute? No Way! As a student living in the dorms, it’s easy to get into the “roll out of bed and go” routine. Even if you wake up fifteen minutes before class begins, you can easily throw on some clothes, brush your hair and teeth and scurry across campus to your class. Waking up 15 minutes before class may no longer fly, but you can still get away with 30 minutes. Take Advantage of Your Campus Once you begin living off campus, it’s easy to begin simply showing up for class and then leaving. Most campuses are great places to spend time and have a plethora of spaces to study. When you live close to campus, walking up the street to study in the student union or to read on the green space outside of the library is a convenient option. If you like to exercise, you’re still in close proximity to the campus recreation center (you’re more likely to work out if it’s convenient).
