It then becomes easy for the reader to understand why the unnamed man chooses to read in the store, because despite all Fat Maz's soul searching and her father's bad temper, the newsagency is actually a very place with a homey feel. Also a familiar place the reader can relate
The mission statement for Conlin’s Furniture is “To provide an outstanding customer experience through a family of knowledgeable and caring associates, a selection of high quality furnishings at great values, and endless service to our clients”. What she likes the most about her job is meeting with new people getting to know her customer on a personal level.

She met a woman who was very warm and welcoming to Rowlandson. The woman didn’t judge her or degrade her based on who she was or on her social status. She treated Rowlandson like a normal person and gave her a piece of bear because she was hungry. The next day the woman even boiled it for her and also gave her some nuts to eat with it. Rowlandson was pleasantly surprised by how nice the woman was to her.
Of course, this doesn’t go for every single person, but on the whole the people are very polite and kind towards you. In London if you are a few pounds short when buying a few things at the supermarket, the person behind you will give you the remaining you owe just to stop you feeling humiliated. In Arlington, multiple times I will be humming a song minding my own business in Wal-Mart when a random man will come up to me and ask me what song I am singing. People in both towns are so open and helpful, making the society a happier and nicer place to live. Overall, London & Arlington have many more differences than similarities, but the towns are on different sides of the world where there are different customs and different views of what standard life is.

Sincerely Yours is a small shop that has only a few employees. I have noticed while shopping here for some time now that there are two employees at a given time that seem to work together and communicate efficiently in order to supply the customer with the best service possible. One employee will run the register while the other will wander around the store and help the customers shop or guide them in the right direction of what they are looking for. Business Commerce is the process in which people will exchange products, goods, and services. These items are items that the consumers are asking for and are in a high demand for which brings us into the store to shop or even browse because we know that there is always some new merchandise that is put out.
Like when I see supermarkets advertising to buy their simple and cute reusable bags and become a “smart shopper” by not wasting plastic bags and have your own reusable bags when you go grocery shopping to help reduce the amount of plastic being wasted. It just sucks to see that the majority of people don’t cope with the project; I’m sadly one of those people. When I go grocery shopping I honestly do not even think about any reusable bags. It just does not click in my mind that it would be better for the environment if I take reusable bags. The day that happens though, I am going to feel so proud of myself.
Her father had a nice job, which sometimes kept him away, but he always brought gifts for his family, to show his care for them. Meanwhile her mother was the hostess who entertained anyone who knocked on her door, and provided everyone with gifts. The life before the war comfortable, yet filled with embarrassments at times from the cultural ways of her ancestry, even though they weren't strict followers. She describes her life as always being surrounded by people, friends of parents, who visited constantly, which vexed her because her mother could hardly find time to herself and with her daughters. The deep generosity of her family shows the good morals that she grew up with, as her mother taught her and her sister that "Indifference is the worst fault of all" .
The manager Lengel does not seem to be too strict at first but has his ways I feel. Reading the story in first person we see the day in the life at work through Sammy’s eyes. He sees three girls come into the grocery story with only swim suites on. He nick names theses girls as “plaid, big tall goon goony, and queenie.” These names come to him I feel as the way that he sees the girls and how they carry themselves. Sammy keeps his eyes on them while they are shopping and in my eyes I feel that his way of watching over them.
