The brain interprets the world using the five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. A person’s modality is the sense that they feel more comfortable using. The modalities are Visual for sight, Auditory for sound, Kinaesthetic for feeling, Olfactory for smell, and Gustatory for taste.
