The purpose of letters as a business are to inform members of the public about things within the organisation. An advantage of using letters is that it can be filled with important information and it can be set and layout clearly. A disadvantage of letters is that the person who is meant to receive the letter might not receive it, maybe due to the postman not delivering the correct letter to the right house. This proves that although letters are a good source of communication, it is not completely reliable as the letter may get lost. Letters can be a big asset to businesses because it can inform many people about important and useful information but it is not the most important written source of communication.
M2- Self awareness is the ability to know myself, my abilities, limitation and what is my personality is like. Self awareness is a very important tool to have as it helps me to be conscious of my limits and areas for further development. It is hard to do this with a friend because we may not want the friend to know who we really are. Before we can professionally help others as counsellors, we need to be self aware. My fears for the course are that I discover some things about myself that I may not like but I suppose it is all about self discovery as well. A strength of making places more accessible for people is it will encourage more individuals with learning difficulties to go to that area. Individuals with learning difficulties or their carers will recommend that area which may lead the owners to making more changes to accommodate them. However a weakness could be that the businesses will feel uncomfortable that there are more individuals with learning difficulties meaning that even though they are more accessible they may still be discriminated

Having my husband not understand what I mean by such a short statement is something that I expect since he is my husband. Kozol states that, “They cannot read traffic signs and, while they often learn to recognize and decipher symbols, they cannot manage street names which they haven't seen before” (Kozol, 4), this is like being trapped inside your own world. If someone cannot read something simple as a stop sign they just have no life to be living. What good are they to the society if a person cannot read?
