Body Paragraph One It is the willingness to learn, utilize and have access to these tools in the library There has been additional studies demonstrating a significant correlation between library use and student persistence in college. Academic performance suggests that there is tremendous pressure on libraries to be more accountable in the delivery of services and their’ contributions to students’ educational outcomes. Higher levels of teacher-librarians staffing are associated with longer hours, higher levels of library staff activity, higher student usage. The impact of library programs on academic achievement cannot be explained away by other schools or community conditions. Students and Teachers who take advantage of this information-rich and technology-rich environment can expect capable and avid readers, learners who are information literate and teachers who are partnering with the teacher-librarian to create high-quality learning experiences.
