These people are called the pro-life activists. Supporters of both pro-life and pro-choice refer to religion as support for their side of the argument. Pro-life supporters claim that abortion is murder, and is therefore against God's will. However, pro-choice defenders argue that abortion is not murder since the fetus is not yet a fully formed human. Therefore, abortion would not be a defiance against God.
My World View Abortion is a topic that has been debated for centuries. Many people believe that it is a woman’s prerogative to terminate her pregnancy. These people also say that it is a violation of her rights to take that option away. Others argue that a fetus is a defenseless being that deserves a chance to live. Attacking an individual who has no means to defend them self is wrong, which is why I strongly oppose abortion.
Unfortunately, there are several different reasons that conclude why abortions are appropriate in certain cases. A few examples depend on one’s financial stability, age, environment, and their position of dependency. As discussed in the previous paragraph, I discussed the different reasons in which several women feel obligated to get abortions. For the women who go through with their pregnancies, who are not financially stable or who are irresponsible, results in the neglection of their children, foster care or put up for adoption, led into prostitution, and the abuse of drugs and alcohol. It results in a life time of misery and suffering for the child all because their parents never had their best interest at heart.
Abortion- A Woman’s Divine Right Tameka A. Severson SOC 120 Introduction to Ethics & Social Responsibility Instructor: Theodore Framan April 16, 2012 The topic of abortion is one of the most controversial of our times. The fight between pro-life and pro-choice supporters has been long and brutal. This is because individuals can be a bit “close minded” and refuse to view any other beliefs or ideas other than their own. Although I support the act of abortion, when it all boils down, it is a right and the circumstance at hand really depends on the particular individual. Abortion is defined as the termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior to viability.
These people are referred to as “pro-life advocates”. They believe in the life of the baby over the woman’s right to choose. There are groups such as Human Life International (HLI), The Christian Coalition, and many others support the right of the human life. Their main argument is that one is murdering an unsuspected life. They have several other reasons why they do not support abortions.
Abortion should remain legal so women would keep their faith and they will not experience hardship with their unwanted baby. There are many reasons why abortion should remain legal. It preserves a humans beings life and prevents the mother to have an unwanted life with a baby that she doesn’t want. If abortion becomes illegal not only one life will be affected but it would be the mother and the unwanted baby. The bible does not say anything about abortion but has something that sounds like they are talking about abortion.
The side affects, whether it be emotional or physical, are too much for someone to bare. While some women do over come the emotional idea of killing a fetus, it will liger for a lifetime. Not knowing what the child looked like, or how they would have impacted a life is devastating to most. No one will know how great of a person that child would grow up to be. There are lots of opinions about abortion, and most are not 100 percent for or against the idea.
While some choose to look toward Scripture and Godly guidance, others choose a more worldly approach. 56% of unwed mother turn towards abortion as a “quick cover-up” of their original wrongdoing. By having an abortion, the mothers are, in fact, committing another sin. In Exodus 20:13, God clearly states that murder is wrong. Some that participate in this injustice may rationalize that one cannot be murdered until he is born, but the Bible plainly teaches in Job 31:15 that life begins in the womb.
Health care is hard for people to get the proper coverage due to high prices, pre-existing conditions, or debt problems. Insurance companies often have loop holes people do not see, causing problems when a medical condition occurs. Children are not receiving the proper medical care due to their families not having the proper coverage. Many Americans are continuing to get sicknesses and go untreated, causing more Americans to suffer or die quickly. Nationalizing health care
However, religious traditions are more varied than that and even in the religions mainly opposed to abortion, there are traditions that permit abortion. Religion is important in this cause because not every religion regards abortion as a simple, black and white decision, which causes a lot of controversy. For example, Protestant Christianity is one of the most common religious traditions in the United States, as well as the world. Vocal opposition to abortion is very common in Protestant churches but support for abortion rights is as well, just not as strong. There is no single Protestant position on abortion, but Protestants who oppose abortion sometimes portray themselves as the only true Christians
