My character shows a lot about me as a person. I uphold the principles of morality, and also try to be honest and trustworthy. I care about the opinions of my peers, and try not to be judgmental. Throughout my years at the high school, I’ve always tried my best to work hard and be all that I can be to succeed in life. My grades are the most important thing for me to maintain during my high school career.
I would like to show my family that education is very important, because it doesn't only affect you but everyone that is surrounded by you. I would like to set an example for my little sister, and younger cousins, that anything is possible, and that your education sets a path for your future that if you have a bright future you can have a beautiful life. I would also like God to be proud of me as well. Bishop Noll Institute offers a challenging academic environment, I clearly see it in the upperclassmen’s attitudes and the standards that they set for me as a freshman this year. The more I know the better opportunities will come my way in the future.
Lexica Mendez Beta Club Essay 28 January 28, 2012 Beta Club Essay I have always been interested in school; however in middle school I started to do my best efforts because I now realize that without education I don’t have a future. Education is one of the most important fundamental keys to success in life. In order to become someone important in life I try to aim for my goals and reach them. I try to dedicate all my efforts to my education because that helps me become a better person. Through the years of my lifetime I have tried to become a good citizen.
These schools are both good academic schools and they are known throughout the country. I will focus on my studies more than anything with just one goal in my mind. The main goal will be graduation. We are human and I know there will be many obstacles and there will be times where I may want to give up. But you have to be mentally strong to achieve your goals in this life.
It helps me figure out what I need to do to become a better player, but also a better person. It tests my ability to work hard through adversity, take constructive criticism, and challenge myself to push harder and to strive for greatness. I take tremendous pride in my work ethic, and it shows when I’m on the field. I stay focused from start to finish, learn from my mistakes quickly, and I accept my responsibilities that are handed down to me from coaches and my team. Pat Riley once said, “Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.” This is how I treat everyday.
20TH Century U.S. History U.S. leaders throughout history have always tried to do the right thing in my opinion. I would have to give them a grade of a B+. I give them this grade because they have in the most part tried to help everyone they can. But in reality you cannot help everyone. We as a nation, I believe have always tried to come to the aide of anyone we can.
Completing the LVN program at Western Career College started off as a dream that I now strive to turn into reality. A dream I know that will not come easy without concentration and commitment throughout this whole course. In this paper I will state my current obstacles and life experiences that made me chose the LVN program at WCC. My family influences with nursing, my level of education with school, all make this decision of taking this program one of the easiest choices I’ve made but yet one of the hardest goals for me to accomplish. My choices in life have not always been easy.
Assiduous Assiduous; showing great care, dedication, consistency and perseverance. To me showing true dedication means to be fully committed to something that intrigues you. To some people that could be; Sports, Work, Family and Friends. But to me I'm fully dedicated to My education and grades to follow with it. To me school, is my top priority as a young adult to do and finish.
Then, during my teenage life, the main drive was to enrol into a good degree programme and make my parents proud. In order to achieve this, I sacrificed my fun time and learned to be more organized because I felt I am the responsible to get good grades in my Foundation programme to get into good degree course. Meanwhile, my goal now is to achieve my ideal self and be who I want to be in the future. For example, I want to be a productive and responsible person in life but at times my laziness stops me from being one. Therefore, I am still working towards it by changing my behaviour little by little and this is more likely a self-actualization process.
Without setting goals most people would not pursue their dreams because they see no reward in the end for having to go through some hard times. With this attitude, success for many would be out of reach, but with the idea of setting goals for self motivation, everyone can be successful with hard work. In my life I make sure to set goals and strive to achieve them but even though I may not reach all of them I can say to myself in the end that I have tried my hardest and have accomplished something along my journey. I believe I need this scholarship because it is a big step in achieving my goal of going to college and getting a career started in chemical engineering. With this scholarship that goal would start to become more of a reality because I would then have the financing for my college education and I would only have supply and apply myself to gain the education.
