A Way to Replace Face-to-Face Type of Communication Humanity has known so many ways of communication during its existence. The face to face communication whether it is by using gestures, voice or signs is one of the most popular. However, today, the internet is changing the way we communicate with each other. The internet in its quest to improve our communication to each other, has taken mankind from the use of the email to the use of social media. Social media is since his beginning growing every year and acquiring new users. This relatively new way of communication is attracting all kind of users from people who want to talk to theirs friends and relatives to companies and governments’ institutions who are using it as a new way to touch their audience or their customers. Despite the fact that social media is a way of sharing information between people and help us to stay in touch with our family, it is hard to compare social media and the face to face communication which, in the other hand, doesn’t involve a computer or any electronic device. Each of these two ways of communication is different one from another. One parent educator and psychologist once said to me: “Social media enable us to communicate but replace face-to-face time with others and impede having real conversation”. This opinion of an educator brings questions about whether or not social media really help people communicate in a right and good way. Everybody know that social media is a great tool which helps us communicate together around the world. Face-to-face time communication makes a huge difference when communicating with other because it is a way people can use emotion and feeling to communicate.
