A Tough Moment

A tough moment Everyone in life used to get through tough moments at least once in their lifetime. I also used to get through many tough moments in my life and one of the toughest moments happened when I had to say Goodbye to my beloved girlfriend. I still have vivid and sweet memories how I met her. It was in Honolulu of Hawaii, one of the most beautiful places in the world. I was working in a Supermarket as a Sushi Chef and I most often gave out free sushi samples to my colleagues who were working at the deli. It was a great fun working there under the nice environment. One day, one of my colleagues working at the deli said to me, “Hey, Kai, I have a friend who is from Burma and she likes to meet people from Burma.” “Cool,” I replied. “You can give her my number.” When my friend told me her name, I felt like the name was kind of strange; unlike the typical Burmese names. “Well, let me see.” I murmured myself. I usually checked my phone and found out a voice mail in the afternoon of the following day and listened to it promptly. “Ah!” The voice message was from her. She left the message in English instead of Burmese. The message included introducing herself and her name. I called her back on my break and chatted a little bit and hang up the phone saying that I would call her back when I was done my work for the day. On my way back home, I did call her back. In fact, it is not allowed to talk on the phone on the bus but I did. We were deep in our conversations having a good time on the phone. Since I am a person with a sense of humor, she was laughing so much. One thing I noticed, we were both happy on the phone. Almost a week passed by that we did not talk on the phone.
