A New Year A new year is a wonderful time for reflection and goal setting. 2013 will be a great new beginning for me in several ways. I want to focus my energy on my school work, and to get better at basketball. I will reach my goes through dedication packed up by hard work. As I look back on 2012, one thing that I am proud of is my hard work for basketball and giving up sleep, waking up at 5 o’clock in the morning to go to the gym and work on my game. Im am extremely proud of this because no one else is pushing me to get better it’s all me striving to get better and someday great. One thing I wish I had done was not slack off from my school work. From waking up early every morning I’m a dead tired when I get home, and as soon as I walk in the door I find my bed a crash. So leaving with an extremely less time to do homework knowing I have to go to bed early for waking up at an ungodly hour. One important goal I have set for myself in 2013 is to focus more on my school work and not put it off and procrastinate, because I can’t afford bad grades if I want to play college ball. I plan to reach this goal by motivating myself the same way I do in basketball, because if I don’t get it done in the classroom I won’t be playing on the court. Another goal I have for myself in 2013 is to keep working on my game in basketball even though I’m not playing much because of my grades I still need to work hard so when my grades finally go up I will be ready to ball on the court. I will achieve this goal y not slacking off and taking days off and keep doing what I’ve been doing, and with that the results wills follow. Setting goals is a great way to meet goals, because it gets you motivated and you’re always pushing yourself for that next goal, and with that 2013 will be the best year of my life so
