Mary Shelley was born in London in 1797 to intelligent parents. When Mary Shelley was 16 years old she decided to elope with a man named Percy Shelley who was a romantic poet. After a few years death had began to storm into her life, first she had a few miscarriages. Her only living child had also died and so did her half sister, and lastly Percy's first wife had died to suicide. When she went to vacation at Lord Byron's house, she and her colleagues would talk about different scientific things and the possiblitiy of reanimating the dead.
Highwire Moon is a book full of chilling events by the acclaimed novel writer Susan Straight. The exciting suspense filled novel is about a mother who lost her baby due to immigration problem, and twelve years later the mother and daughter began searching for each other. The daughter just really wants to figure out what actually happened. When Elvia (the daughter) was around 12 years old her father, Larry came back into her life and he took her with him to live. Elvia’s relationship with her father is very important in the novel.

Jamie has a dream to get married in the both the movie and the novel, which Landon fulfills at the age of 17. The difference in this part of the story is that on her wedding day in the novel Jamie is very sick and needs a wheelchair and nurse during the ceremony. Although in the film, during the wedding Jamie is in remission.Unlike the novel, in the film it is very clear how Jamie’s life ended, but in the novel the question is still up in the air as to whether she survived the cancer, or if it took her along with it. Finally, despite the difference between the movie and the novel this story has become very popular. It has definitely grabbed the attention of the teenage groups like it hoped, sending out various messages.
