A Love For Dance! When I was only four years old my mother took me to my first ballet class! I remember my first day of class so vividly. As I walked into the studio, from the parking lot, with my brand new black leotard and sparkly pink skirt I was extremely excited to see my teacher and new classmates. My mom stayed to speak to the teacher for a few minutes, as if she was nervous to leave me. When she finally left class began. My teacher, Ms. Heather stood there with a sweet smile and said, "Welcome girls! My name is Ms. Heather. We're going to have lots of fun today!" We started class by doing simple stretches, such as toe-touches and neck rolls. After all of the easy stuff, we went on to what I thought was more difficult, a ballerina's first, second and third position. After struggling for a few minutes, Ms. Heather came to me and helped me adjust my feet. As class went on we learned more things. By the end of class I was ready to come back the next week. I looked foward to coming into that huge studio with mirrors on each wall, filled with other girls who loved to dance as much as I did. After a few months past by we had learned a full dance, and were practicing it for our yearly recital in May. The recital was always exciting for me. That grand stage with big, bright lights and the audience watching my every move. I felt like a hollywood star, with all my relatives there to take pictures and record the entire thing. When it was time for me and my classmates to perform, we lined up to walk on stage with our black and turquiose tu-tu's and waited for the music to start. After waiting for a few seconds, the music finally started, and each girl on stage looked over to the right corner to see Ms. Heather, and watch her anticipate the dance moves in fear that we would forget them and make a mistake.
