A Life Changing Experience: Twice I am currently enrolled at Orange Coast Community College because I wasn’t able to get into my desired University. Throughout the years in high school, I was led to believe that I am somewhat unintelligent and less gifted than the others. My day consisted of school and online gaming—and food, if I didn’t have to make it myself. I wouldn’t have admitted back then, but I am quite lazy. Personally, I blame technology for most of my laziness and failures in life like, not waking up on time because my alarm ran out of battery. It all started back in summer of 2005, when my father bought me my very own personal computer. It was a sunny, full of singing birds, filled with joy and laughter, most beautiful day in the nice, packed with friendly, welcoming, and amazing people, neighborhood that many of my, good, polite, and trustworthy, elementary friends also resided in. My friends and I were at the park, playing hide and seek, like always, when my parents came by and picked me up for a surprise trip to BestBuy. My father explained that I was going to get my own computer because he thought I was old and responsible enough to take care of and use one. I spent most of my time wandering around the store while my parents made the purchase and was able to pick out a few computer games. The car ride home was and probably still is the longest, most exciting and irritating ride in my life—I couldn’t wait to unbox that computer. When we arrived, I rushed my mother to open the door so I can get started with my electrifying new toy. I started unboxing like it was Christmas morning under a well-decorated, bright Christmas tree. I examined all the noticeable features of my computer and its accessories. I liked the feel of my keyboard and the display of my monitor. I liked my surround sound speakers.
