1. A good Human Resource strategy will satisfy business aspirations ensuring that there is profitability and sustainability whilst maintaining a competitive advantage over rivals through its human capital resource. As an example, an organization can have a recruitment strategy which aims at getting, retaining and developing the best motivated people who can do the best work but it is also important to ensure that the organization maintains profitability and competitive advantage. 2. A good Human Resource strategy should be founded on a detailed analysis. A strategy should not be merely taken as a tactic but should be developed through a thorough study on the basis of a shared vision regarding where the organization wants to be in future and how it will get there by utilizing the strategic capabilities within the organization. A thorough study will also encompass the environmental scan to carry out the SWOT analysis to determine the desired future of the organization with a reasonable degree of accuracy. If, for example, an organization rushed to implement a salary structure strategy to achieve competitive advantage over rivals in area of remuneration without actually carrying out a detailed analysis, the organization may not have properly taken into consideration future sustainability and profitability factors. The organization may also not have considered that by doing so, the organization may also, in the process, be retaining some highly paid unproductive staff who could be a huge liability to the organization. The organization may incur higher production costs than its rivals making its products more expensive hence unattractive to the customer base. 3. A good Human Resource strategy is required to be coherent and integrated. Hence, the strategy should ensure that from whatever angle staff look at human resource issues there should be consistence
