Each serves its purpose well; the steel frame buildings just do so with more flair. I like to think that only a good movie would still be watched after fifty-three years. But, everything good about the book is missing or distorted (plot, characters, details). The plot is too convoluted to make a movie. But the movie of The Big Sleep is still a success and, well, a good movie, just because they changed the plot and the characters.
I enjoyed both the book and the movie, but personally I think the book was better, because the movie left some of the things out that the book had in it. It’s not really surprising to me that the book was better than the movie because I think that most of the time books are better than

All the main characters (or at least those that had action figures available) had a 'thing' that defined their abilities and more often than not their names as well. The general rule was that the later the character appeared in the history of the franchise, then the more outlandish and bizarre he or she was.. The studios had to churn these films out because of public demand, The suits funded these lesser projects with a limited budget. The private eye, the detective, etc, all pulp fiction or B-grade films, the term Hollywood used for the support for their main
For example he was stuck in a different reality and he knew what to do and never panicked, and eventually got out because of his smarts. Crash was the best movie because the writing could be related to life very easily for certain types of people. The acting in the movie was also incredible. The class most likely agrees with me because of how real the acting was. The movie was nominated for many awards proving how great it was.
Robrigado 1 Matt Robrigado English 1A Professor Piluso 12 September 2012 The Game of Life Old original movies are not always boring to watch. Compared to the movies made today for people to watch which contain lots of foul language, violence, and sex, The Sandlot contains many important life values and morals such as friendship, teamwork and perseverance. The classic film The Sandlot is a great movie to watch because of its comical dialogue, incredible cast, superior theme of friendship, and the mindset to never give up at what anything no matter what the cost is. One reason why The Sandlot engages who is viewing it is because all of its humorous dialogue. This classic movie is filled with dialogue that can make any young
TAKE TWO! CAN YOU REPEAT THE PAST? The two films are very fascinating in comparison, and if anything made me appreciated the other more, both of these movies have major differences to the novel. Upon viewing the 1974 rendition, I can sort of appreciate how Jack Clayton and Francis Ford Coppola were attempting to make the novel “cinematic” in a 1970s kind of way. The film may have actually turned out to be a great if it wasnt for some of these issues that I’ll get to in a touch.
I really enjoyed how the writers used words that anyone could understand but used that so they had a really profoundly meaning. There were some parts that had the characters hallucinating and I could not tell the real from the things they made up in their heads. I have always been interested in stories of survival. I thought the best thing about this book is that these are the most outrageous tales I have ever heard but I know they are based on true stories and real people. You can’t get better then the truth.
Jamal’s writing became amazingly good and William was able to see himself as an actual person rather then just an author. This effected him so much he not only went to Scotland, but left Jamal everything he owned, including his writing, the most precious thing to him. “Finding Forrester” did all of this realistically, without making the story hard to understand. Overall this is a very good movie that will leave you in wonder at the extent of a young boys talent, and at the same time have you guessing at the true feelings of William Forrester. I rate this movie an 8.5/10 for its clean plot flow, in depth characters, engaging story, and lack of clichés.
The film writers, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, supposedly based this film loosely on their personal experiences during their own awkward teenage years. Though I’m not sure how true this actually is, the film is excellently written. There is sensitivity in superbad that other teen movies such as American Pie don’t achieve, this gives the film heart. This is also the main reason that Superbad works so well, it gets away with being immature and crude by using well-written and well-acted parts to create a sense of vulnerability and loveable geeky awkwardness in the three main characters, who constantly attempt to appear cool and confident, particularly around their high school crushes, desperately fabricating stories, with hilarious
