I want to start off by saying; music is a big part of my family. I remember as a child, I grew up with my first cousin. With that being said, we would gather around on Sundays to listen to my uncle playing his guitar and have lunch together. My cousin Eddie and I would dance and laugh about some of the music being played, it was music from the olden days. Music we haven’t even heard or listened to growing up. I would have to say my favorite part of growing up with him would be the laughter we both shared, and time spent together. The worst time together would be the day I needed to vent to him about an experience I went through, and how it changed my life. I would say we both did some changing as we got older, we somewhat grew apart because we both became adults, married, and have children. There are times when we get together to cook out, let the children play, while we cut up and carry on conversations, whether it’s past, present or future. It was mainly about our future, how college is going, what we want to accomplish in our careers, how we plan to have better lives for our children. I also believe with the bond we have, it won’t never go away, though we are older. We shall spend family time together because we all never know what we are promised for the next day. I would have to say growing up with my cousin Eddie; I was able to talk about issues with him that I couldn’t with others. There were parts of my childhood that I really needed to share a secret with him, such as my step grandfather doing things to me that where wrong. I felt like I could talk to my cousin about this problem that weighted on chest and bothered me to the point of not sleeping, I would cry at random, and just fly mad at any point. I believe with me talking to my family member about this issue, it helped me to overcome this issue and to move on with my childhood. Although, as an adult
