This song hit home to be because one of the first concerts my fiancée and I ever went to was for an artist that Luke Bryan opened up for. He was a no name back then, but this was his hit song at the time. My fiancée and I sang the song, off key, at the top of our lungs, and just laughed the entire time. It was a great night for the both of us. After that song he sang his biggest hits which made the crown erupt in hoots and hollers.
Colbie Caillat On Aug. 21, 2012 I had went to Colbie Collibet and Gavin Degraw concert at the antelope valley fairgrounds. It was my first time seeing these two artists and they did not disappoint me at all. I love going to shows where the co-headliners or main interact with not only the audience but with each other's performance. Colbie’s voice was sweet and sensual that it makes me want my hubby to be at the show with me! Her songs make me want to fall in love and to be loved all at the same time.
The first show that they did was at a music festival called Texas Tornado Jam, which hosted local bands outside of Austin. The Fabulous Thunderbirds, which included Stevies brother Jimmie Vaughn, played after Stevies band. The event was broadcasted on T.V. Many people watched this event including Mick Jagger from The Rolling Stones, who was so impressed that he asked Stevie to play a private party that The Rolling Stones were hosting at the Danceteria club in New York. Jerry Wexler, who was a record executive from Atlantic Records, saw the band play at a record release party and asked them to play the Montreux International Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
The first group started off the right foot with an interpretation of the Rocky Theme Song. The members of the band used instruments like trumpets, saxophones, trombones, piano, drums, flugelhorns, and clarinets. Throughout the song different members of the band would switch off doing impressive solos, however my favorite was one of the trumpet solos that was performed by Ian Martinez, he truly stole everyone’s attention with his energy and apparent love for his part in the song. The ensemble played many songs I enjoyed, and was excited to hear a rendition of an old classic by Count Basie. The second ensemble and the first ensemble were similar in style, but the second ensemble used considerably less solos and played with an electric guitarist.
In addition to performing for communities all over such as Ca, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho and the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West will perform for 10 Air Force Bases, 5 Air Force Reserve Wings, and lastly 5 recruiting squadrons. This band has a back round that most don’t have. This shows the high expectations for not only there self but the band holds. There was a song that I really enjoyed and want to talk about a little bit. “ The Diplomat March” was the best song I had heard the hole time.
Plus, Madeline Pumariega, President Dr. Thomas Meyer, Dean of Academic Affairs; and Dr. Rosa Mayorga, Chair, Department of Arts and Philosophy of the Wolfson Campus for their continued support. To begin, I felt that the instrumentalists all performed pretty well even though it was just a rehearsal before the concert. The composers were able to play each of their individual instruments good enough that the compositions they performed were in tune and it sounded as though we were actually in the real concert that they performed later that day. “You And The Night And The Music” is a song composed by Arthur Schwartz with lyrics by Howard Dietz debuted on November 28, 1934; “Summertime” was composed by George Gershwin for the 1935 opera Porgy and Bess, re-harmonized by Mike Di Liddo; “I Feel Fine” song written by John Lennon Paul McCartney
Jimi Hendrix’s version of the “Star Spangled Banner” became the highlight of the festival. Conclusion- Review of Main Points: Today I have talked about what made Jimi Hendrix’s music so famous, the group he formed The Jimi Hendrix Experience and the Woodstock festival that he played at that made people love his music even more. Restate Purpose: The purpose for this speech was to inform you about Jimi Hendrix and what he accomplished in his short life time. His profile also blossomed by playing with other artists like the Mills Brothers, Louis Jordan, Tommy Dorsey, and Ella Fitzgerald. Many great musicians influenced Louis Armstrong. He, in turn, is said to have influenced nearly every singer who followed him. (Louis Armstrong) Dizzy Gillespie once said of Armstrong “If it had not been for him, there would have been none of us.” When asked who most influenced Billie Holiday, she replied about Louis Armstrong “He didn’t say words, but somehow it just moved me so. It sounded like he was making love to me.
The audience all sing along, lead by Springsteen and the E. Street Band—who themselves are rocking out to it as much as the audience is. As if “Born to Run” is more of a way to live not just a four-minute and thirty-second song. In the early days of playing “Born to Run” at concerts Springsteen would yell at the beginning of the song “nobody wins unless everyone wins” depicting how we all need each other to succeed. After some time he stopped doing this but it’s forever imprinted on the song in the music video of “Born to Run.” Even though, “Born to Run” was released in 1975 the magic it created still exists today. Reflecting on the world of each generation who “rediscovers” the song.
In his Common Application essay, Enin writes about his love of music into a story about leadership, community, and bringing joy to the world by singing and dancing in a production of Guys and Dolls. It was because of this same essay that 12 colleges including all eight Ivy League universities had decided to accept him. They include Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, the University of Pennsylvania, Yale, Duke, Stony Brook University, SUNY Geneseo and Binghamton University. His academic performance has made him the subject of interviews by dozens of local, national, and international news
