Location |1. Describe where you live in relative terms. Give at least five different points of reference. For example: I live in Orlando so, relatively speaking, Orlando is north of Miami. Orlando is east of the Gulf of Mexico. Orlando is in the central portion of the state of Florida, etc. 2. I live in Calabasas, so in other words, Calabasas is in California. Calabasas is located at the southwestern edge of the San Fernando Valley, It is bordered by the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles to the northeast, Topanga to the southeast, Malibu to the south, Agoura Hills to the west, and Hidden Hills to the north.| Place|2. Walk around your community and describe the bodies of water, the land, street system, etc. Describe the physical attributes of your community. Do you live in the city or in a rural area? 3. I live in a rural area behind two gates, the closest water to me is in my sink, or Malibu beach about a 20-minute drive down the hill. Around me are horse stables, and mountains. | Movement|3. Unlike Santa Monica people cant really walk everywhere, most people will take trolley, drive, or attempt to bike. | Region |4. What region of the country do you live in? I live in the western region of the United States of America. | Human Environment Interaction|5. How do people interact? Where do people gather in your community? What has man done to make your area more inhabitable for modern man? 6. Most people interact at “the commons”, which is a place with restaurants, stores, movies, etc.
