4G – Mobile Technology
This is an era of communication; the need of development in the communication field is increasing day by day. Especially in the field of mobile communication the needs of the end user is going beyond the capability of the present 3G technology. To comply with it; the new concept of 4G was introduced in the mobile arena. Key of 4G is OFDM; it also uses smart antennas, software defined radio and IPvs6.
The 4G networks are just mere wireless voice communications; It aims to provide high-speed wireless broadband internet, packetized data communications, global reaming with high QOS. The 4G networks are described by the term MAGIC-Mobile multimedia, Anytime anywhere access, Global mobility support, Integrated wireless solution and Customized personal service.
It is an full and full IP based network that has seamless roaming. It eyes at high speed data transfer rate with the ability to coordinate with the present day low level networks, this ability is called interoperability. The technologies that are trying hard to come into fourth generation mobile networks are Flash OFDM, Mobile wimax, LTE etc. This paper discusses about the future 4G mobile communication system, its need, features, specification, components, standards, its application and our eye towards 4G.
4G (also known as Beyond 3G), an abbreviation for Fourth-Generation, is a term used to describe the next complete evolution in wireless communications. A 4G system will be able to provide a comprehensive IP solution where voice, data and streamed multimedia can be given to users on an "Anytime, Anywhere" basis, and at higher data rates than previous generations.
