After reading and watching all three passages, one can make the conclusion that there are many different methods towards education and interpret which method Rodriguez was taught. The types of relationships Rodriguez had with his teachers, family and in life was affected by specific styles of education and as he looked through Freire’s lens of the banking concept, he came to realized that that method of education had a detrimental effect on his life. Early on in Rodriguez’s essay he illustrates the characteristics of an automaton which confirmed Freire’s views regarding the banking concept. Despite his definition of a “scholarship boy”, Rodriguez lacked self confidence which led him to be overpowered by his teachers and his books. Through Freire’s lens, Rodriguez would be considered a waste basket.

This portrays Parris as having completely lost control as the word “overcome” implies that he has been beaten by whatever issue there is. Parris being presented as sobbing is another powerful image as it implies that he desperate. This is also a stark contrast to our anticipations because we would believe that he would be confident and contained, whereas, this behaviour presents him as having an emotional breakdown and as though he cannot remain in control of himself. This also creates tension as after seeing his behaviour we start to believe that this issue is extremely serious and we begin to wonder if the head of authority cannot resolve the issue then who can. Miller continues to present Parris as the antithesis to our expectations
At The Heart of conflict is fear When conflict erupts it can devastate individuals and community’s. It fractures families and causes long-standing animosity between nations and states. (chapter 3, page 39) This infuriates him as he shows feelings for Lenina and does not like other males talking about her in the way they were. However he has to accept what they say as his rage is impotent. He is one and “they” are many which will lead to him always being outnumbered in society. This makes him even more enraged, leading to him having violent fantasies of how he'd like to “go up to them and hit them in the face – hard, again and again” (chapter 3, page 39). This makes him look pretty hostile and antisocial as he does not want to associate with people who follow the same ideologies in the society.
Congel, Matt Humanomics 9/30/11 Through the progression of our Humanomics class, more and more questions have piled up in my head. During discussions, I find myself pondering a plethora of inquisitions in a very small amount of time. Despite this mental mayhem, I almost always wind up back at the same question: What should be the more important human motive: the pursuit of happiness, or the pursuit of success? As we’ve seen and read, people have differing views on this topic, i.e. Carl Fox vs.

Combs taught me that pushing through what you are scared of is only going to hold you back from being successful.

Dimmesdale also becomes very sick mentally because of the pain he puts himself through and also the pain of guilt that is built up inside him. When Dimmesdale is out in public he is seen as a pure Minister. To the Puritan community Dimmesdale is seen as a saint.
