Not only do they need a parent, but also they need a good one. Parents shape and mould their children into something they want them to be. They instil morals and values that they wish their children could someday possess, like honesty, trustworthiness, compassion, and respect. Those attributes are some characteristics of what we all wish our children had, but that’s up to the parents to make it happen. So, if parents are the key to ensuring a well-rounded teenager, what type of parenting style could get the job done efficiently?

Every individual has her own personal values in life that would be used as motivation to progress in life. She may value many positive ideas that come to mind such as friendships, happiness, faith and philosophies that may be used as inspirations, but what I truly value, personally, is my family. My family has contributed to me physically and emotionally as I went through tough times in high school. As I ponder and think back right now, I realize that my family has been in every hardship that I’ve been through without me even realizing it. The have been my main inspiration to keep progressing in life and developing the ambition to focus on pursing my education and dreams.
Throughout my review of the AAE Code of Ethics for Educators and the information on the NEA website, I have gained a better understanding of the many duties and responsibilities that an educators holds and accepts. Many of the responsibilities and practices of an educator mirror the values that I hold as an individual. One of the most important sections of the Code of Ethics for Educators would be Principle IV: Ethical Conduct toward Parents and Community. I feel that as an educator, I am not only serving the children within my classroom, but I am serving the community as well. Building a professional relationship with parents and those within the community will only help to create opportunities and provide more resources.
I would help the child to see that just because their parents and grandparents are education to a certain extent, doesn’t mean that’s how it has to be for them. I would encourage them to set their own goals and to work toward creating their own identity. Another way that I would help these students overcome generational poverty is to help them set goals, both short term, and long term. I would help them set some serious goals for their life and for their education in hopes that those goals will stay in their mind and push them to work as hard as they can to be successful and overcome the life that generations before them have laid out for

We all know that nursing is a field that is concerned with helping people, yet I believe that in becoming a nurse, a person needs more than that desire to succeed. It is essential for a nurse to be open, strong, determined, thoughtful and caring. These qualities would reflect on the nurse and would make caring for the patient easier. I believe that I belong to this field because ever since a child I always wanted to make a positive influence in peoples lives. I always felt the need to care for someone since I know that I have the power and the choice to do so.
Family plays an important role in our emotional, physical and spiritual development since each individual in the family system impacts and is impacted by the others. Family therapy is also imperative for this family it will help the family resolve a specific issue and help address the role that family plays in an individual’s life. Family therapy will help them to understand how their family functions, improve communication skills, make the entire family stronger and identify strengths and weaknesses within the family system and set goals and develop strategies to resolve challenges. (Family Therapy What Is It? 2011) I recommend daycare for the children.
They like to inform the parents of things going on at the center, and in the government that concern the center. Having relationships with the families is important and they have very close ties with them. The philosophy the center runs by is the idea that a child’s education is one of the most important, if not the most important, aspects of his or her life. With this in mind, teachers are very influential characters. Therefore it is essential that teachers develop their educational philosophy and their educational goals before making the big step from being a student to being a teacher.
I believe that being from the same area in which I am now a teacher helps me to have empathy for my children and their families. I respect my families for being determined to set goals for themselves and make a better life for themselves and their children. The second area in which I feel I am strong is I have committed passion for the early childhood profession and demonstrate this in all aspects of my work with and on behalf of children, families, and the early childhood field. Being a lifelong learner is such a big goal that every educator should commit to. First, lifelong education is seen as building upon and affecting all existing educational providers, including both schools and institutions of higher education….Second, it extends beyond the formal education providers to encompass all agencies, groups and individuals involved in any kind of learning activity….Third, it tests on the belief that individuals are, or can become self-directing, and that they will see the value in engage in in lifelong education (Smith, 1996, 2001).
