Even though Freud concept is of personality as having “three aspects which work together to produce our complex behaviors: the Id, the Ego, and the Superego.” He argues that as individuals that we need these aspects of the self in order to be mentally stable human beings. Freud believes that the “id is only concerned with pleasing itself.” In David Lynch‘s Blue Velvet the director allows the character of Frank Booth to represent the “id” in his adult life in a scene with Dorothy Vallens (Isabella Rossellini). In the movie Frank Booth participates in having bizarre sex with Dorothy. We believe that he is inhaling gas though a gas mask, humping upon Dorothy, at the same time yelling and calling her “Mommy”. He also cries out, “Don’t look at me”.
There are many times in the novel when Huxley replaces Ford with Freud, which is also a major symbolic figure. Freud’s theories go hand in hand with the novel, “from the moment of birth the infant is driven in his actions by the desire for bodily or sexual pleasures” (http://www.iep.umt.edu). Most of Freud’s experiments were directed toward how the human mind develops, and more directly how the sexual mind develops. Freud was convinced that the majority of human actions were based off of sexual desires and fantasies. Freud is well known for his theory on a mother and her son, or the Oedipus Complex.
Sigmund Freud differed from B.F. Skinner in terms of approaching human behavior. Sigmund Freud was a psychodynamic psychologist. His idea about human behavior and development shows that behavior throughout life is motivated by inner, unconscious forces, stemming from childhood, over which people have little control. He focused on the realm of the unconscious mind and the defense mechanism of repression. He created the clinical practice of psychoanalysis for curing the mind ailment-psychopathology.
In Fifth Business, Davies’ writes Boy to be the great King Candaules, Dunny to be the friend, Gyges and Leola to be the wife. Boy makes Dunny develop a roll of naked photos of Leola, in order to flaunt her beauty, which prompts Dunny to mention how closely the Gyges and Candaules myth is a like to their lives, “It’s happened before, you know. Do you remember the story of Gyges and King Candaules?” Page 149. Dunny interprets this in terms that Leola may plot with Dunny to kill Boy, since Leola is mistreated by Boy. Boy jokes with Dunny as he is uneasy with this myth when he states, “‘Really?

Colapinto investigates and reassesses the famous case study through these various sources and establishes some ethical dilemmas now facing the medical world; a direct result of decades of misinformation brought forth by the original “John/Joan” twins case. In the book, “As Nature Made Him: The Boy Who Was Raised As A Girl”, Ron and Janet Reimer faced the biggest decision of their lives after a routine circumcision for their twin sons went horribly wrong. While Bruce’s brother Brian was left with a fully functioning penis, Bruce was the first twin to undergo the procedure and was left with a charred penis after the machine malfunctioned. After being unsatisfied by the efforts of local and regional doctors, the distraught
Próspero brings up previous theories that suggest masculinity could be learned by other genders, including women and even LGBT populations, especially if these traits were valued in that society (such as excessive aggressiveness)(2008, 640-641). In his study, he found the gender of the perpetrator had effects on the type of intimate partner violence (644). Erbaugh makes another crucial observation when she remarks, “Isolation is a central tactic of abuse.” (453). The abusers take away the victim’s support network, encouraging co-dependence and leaving them nowhere to turn, socially, physically, economically. Not only is this abuser their familiarity, but they will be forced to give that up frequently for nothing familiar.
All the pills did was take every bit of pleasure out of sex. Thus did science and morals go hand in hand. (Welcome to the Monkey House, p. 29) This passage contains strong hints of sarcasm, and prove that Vonnegut believes that science and government should stay out of our personal lives and out of our minds. While Billy contained all the tradition elements of a villain in this story, he was doubtlessly the hero. Again, Vonnegut's main character is composed of two complementary sides; one good, and one evil; together forming the whole person.

The article also give statistics showing that twice as much males are abuse when compare to female. I want to talk about abuse on a wilder skill and not just something that happen to one gender because some people might not know that young boy can also be sexually abuse. "Abuse, Interpersonal."
Nonetheless, for the purposes of the research, it is important to define splitting as a tendency to see things as either good or bad. Alongside projective identification, it is considered to be the most primitive defence mechanism. For instance, a child who is the victim of sexual violence inflicted by parents uses splitting and separates the experience of parents s/he depends on and loves from that of parents who are sexually abusing her/him. In that case the child retains the image of parents as good, while identifying with the bad, believing that s/he is bad and that’s why such things are happening. The splitting mechanism may be used to explain body-related feelings attested to by trafficking victims.
