On a personal note, I prefer the Kolb reflective cycle as it is easier and more realistic, although when I have written reflective practice I have always used Gibbs. I do appreciate that reflective practice is essential in the nursing profession to ensure that you learn from your experiences, however it can be time consuming and repetitive when using a model such as Gibbs and can be quite off
I now have more confidence in terms of using online literature as a part of an assessment. I also feel as if I have made great progress while working in an online group. I have learned the skill of being able to utilise online publishing tools, and which of those are considered to be useful. By using a process of evaluation I have been able to distinguish which online sources are relevant to me, I have a much clearer idea on how to strengthen my own work by using supportive literature. At first I was very nervous about finding information online and the online collaboration, but being a part of this unit was extremely empowering and it has taught me to be more understanding of each individual situation when working collaboratively.
Questionnaires are a good way to investigate the role of parents in pupils’ achievement as they are cheap to make and send around, as stated in Item B the children can distribute them to their parents. Using questionnaires means that there is no need to recruit and train professional interviewers to collect and assess the data because the parents complete and return the questionnaires themselves. Questionnaires use mainly closed ended questions which help to give an uncomplicated answer which is easy to quantify. Positivists prefer questionnaires because they are often to a larger scale which makes them more representative and standardised questions and answers produce reliable data as other researchers can replicate the questionnaire. Positivists believe that questionnaires are very reliable and that is the main positive goal.
I have now started to delegate more preparation work to other workers. This was very motivating for me because this was the first time someone had considered me as whole person, not just me getting the job done. The impact for my practice is that responsibilities are shared and sessions prepared better which enables us to use the face to face time more effectively. Due to the safe environment
Because I have good mental health, I am able to enjoy school my life and the great people I have in it. I can also pay attention and learn things quickly and be creative. Having good mental health helps me stay focused and accomplish my goals in life. It is not only needed during high school but the duration of life. If I didn’t have such good mental health I wouldn’t be able to get over the hurt of losing a loved one, learn how to walk away from peer pressure or even forgive people.
(Williams.) Sometimes the answers were not perfectly correct but as long as you followed the proper steps to get there, you were on the right track. We were educated to do what we were told and to study from what was being taught. Even though some middle class schools do not have all the equipment to give a well maintain grounding in what profession they may be instructing, does not persuade the fact that the professor does not give 100%. As well as the professors, the parents are a huge success in the children’s success in an institution.
1. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to group efforts over time. I consider myself a leader, i believe this because i am the type of person that feels like if i am not the one to do it then it will not be done the right way. Whenever i would work in groups i would designate myself to be the one to do the harder assignment, because i only trusted that would take it serious, not anyone else. Also, whenever i do anything that involves a team, i like to take control, because i feel like i am the best one to work under pressure or i can choose the best solution for any situation.
Charter Schools: A Better Choice for Parents The recent growth of Charter schools in America is a welcome change for many parents who want choice in education. Students and families are recognizing the real benefits Charter schools have to offer. Parents want schools that are safe, cultivate a positive attitude about learning, and best fit their children’s abilities and interests (Richwine & Heritage 2010). Charter schools are a better option than public schools because charter schools offer smaller classes, the faculty has the ability to use experimentation with different teaching methods and parents are able to be more involved in the school as a whole. Smaller class sizes are not only beneficial to students but to teachers as well.
My personal hopes are that I will be waking up at a decent time not one haha . I hope that this writing will show you that I'm gonna do my work and not just do a couple sentences and do what ever the expectation is. :) Here are a few things you should know that I am cabable of. First off, I am a very good listener . I am more of a listener learner than a reader learner.
It was really awesome that I can now deal with them properly because they let me express my thought as well as they do. Soon, my attitude will not be a problem anymore because I learned that being cooperative to someone who are superior, inferior to you was no big deal. While I was working, I am happy that I was able to gain new knowledge although it was far different on the lessons I have got from my school. Although during those days when my professors were teaching and discussing to us different things about our course, I really was not paying my full attention but I’m happy that the things I got during the times I listened
