Hernandez said that the most important qualities in a leader are humbleness, accept criticism, identify and solve the team problems, be innovative, adaptable, passionate, but non-judgmental. A leader should also be able to give to the team and not only demand from the team. Accountability is another important quality; the achievements as well as the failures pertain to the leader and the team members. A good leader can communicate in a clear, consistent, and concise manner as well as provide clear directions and guidance on what to do and how to do it. A sense of humor appears irrelevant but sometimes a little joke with the team can go a long way.
As people we will sometimes go to great lengths to not be considered a freeloader or moocher. The rules possess’ strength and it often produces a yes response to requests. The reason that the rule is so strong is because it stands out to people on how someone is as a person. From time to time as people we get too caught up in what others think of us so we take the rule and use it as a stepping stone so people think higher of us. This usually affects the decision to act in accordance with with the rule.
Sometimes this style is also described as autocratic. It is a common leadership style and is used when a leader needs to keep as much power as possible and keep control over the decision making. Subordinates are expected to obey orders without arguing back or in need of an explanation to do what they have been ordered to do. In the public services this leadership maybe used when you have all the information to solve the problem or you are working to a deadline. This is not an effective way to get the best result from a team, but it has some advantages in situations where there is pressure to get the task done, like in the armed forces.
She has a clear understanding of different leadership styles and is able to adopt a different approach if called for by a certain situation. The only criticism that could be highlighted from this study is that on some occasions she tries a little bit too hard to be ‘everyone’s friend’. It is an excellent quality to be able to keep everyone happy in their work, but if a situation arose where a real hard message had to be given to one of the team, or one of the support staff had to be disciplined, the Inclusion Manager would find it difficult. The need of discipline is to keep law and order and to ensure people know what they are doing, and can do a task efficiently in time. Discipline is a way of making people follow rules and regulations, it is not a punishment.
What does this do to the trust that has been built between leaders and followers? Many times what separates leaders from the rest is the fact that they are viewed as competent, trustworthy, and dependable. When someone fails in such crucial areas are marital commitments, financial responsibilities, and sins of other natures, it is viewed as a weakness. Even when they admit fault and responsibility for what they have done, the damage is done. It takes much time and much effort to regain the trust that was once
In some cases, individuals in a group will comply or agree with the other members, even if they know it is wrong, just to fit in. There are also those who display deviant workplace behavior. They show up late, steal from the company and fellow employees, gossip, verbally abuse others, and spread gossip. Groups are reflections of the strongest traits of the group and force conformity on the members of the group. Communication is very effective and plays an important role for an effective team or organization.
One key area to look at is how Ashley mentions all of the mistakes the company has made. This is how Emerson sees consistency; he is very much against it and looks down upon those who do not change their minds. Honesty has a lot to do with the consistency part of Emerson’s piece. Many people may be afraid to be inconsistent because they fear others will fear they are being dishonest. They have an opinion on something one day, and then the next it is changed. Some can see this as being dishonest and many people in society fear this.

Nowdays, people become a little cautious about taking ther risk and work with others, because the life becaome more difficult and everybody is looking for his intersts.So we can find now more people that tend to be individualistic and do better while working in groups. 7- As a group African Americans are active, expressive , colorful, emotional, often humorous, more nonverbal, distinctive,stylized, open, demonstrative,and possses a positive outlook on life.
