People typically demand respect before giving it. This is an all to common misconception. If we all demanded respect, before giving it, no one would be respected in the first place. Respect can make or break relationships in the work place. Other example in this area include: your behavior and manners, your eating habits and exercising routine, your attitude and thoughts, and the way you respond to challenges.
There are so many ways in which people can differ from each other, including, for example: Appearance Gender Race Culture Ability Talent Beliefs. By recognising and understanding our individual differences and embracing them, and moving beyond simple tolerance, we can create a productive environment in which everybody feels valued. Equality is ensuring individuals or groups of individuals are treated fairly and equally and no less favourably, specific to their needs, including areas of race, gender, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation and age. It is recognised that some people and groups, because of a range of differences, find it more difficult to have their voice heard in mainstream society - their views, needs and perspectives may not be routinely taken into account, for example in planning services or undertaking research. Inclusion is about positively striving to meet the needs of different people and taking deliberate action to create environments where everyone feels respected and able to achieve their full potential.
These aspects of life define people of different cultures as a person. These traits impact ones life, define who they are and make them different from any other person in society. Culture forms and bends thoughts of right and wrong and what is accepted and what is not approved of. These identity differences among different cultures is what makes our world so unique, but difficult to control. With so many different influences and ideas directing our paths in life, one must wonder if what they have been taught in their culture is right or wrong.
A person may change his or her attitudes and behaviors when around social groups in order to feel accepted even if they don’t particularly believe in the group behaviors. In order to feel accepted in society we change our attitudes and behaviors to better fit into that of the social norm. With each different group come different behaviors so that rejection does not happen. The more people we have around the more pressure and influence is put upon us to change our behaviors. This can have both positive and negative effects however.

Marriage has become only a statement now because of the widespread social change. Many have stated that being marriage is not important any longer and choose to live together instead. But this is not the same as sharing an intimate and fulfilling life.
In addition to body movements and gestures, the nonverbal cues given through facial expressions and eye contact, personal space, and touch, influence individual interactions in the workplace. While this body language is fairly well understood in general in each culture, there are major cultural differences in nonverbal communication. Because communication styles are different in different cultures and it can lead to misunderstandings, people should have general knowledge about cultural features, conversation etiquettes and mentality of other nationalities, so avoiding awkward situations.
