Personality characteristics PSYCH/504 PERSONALITY THEORIES Abstract Personality sets everyone a part from each other. Every single person was brought up a different way. Every single person has experienced similar things but has perceived them in a different way. Though some people may embodied the same personality characteristics they developed them for many different reasons. Since personality sets different people apart from each other the way they react to the same thing will be different. In this paper three different situations have been played out. Since I have a unique personality these situations have allowed me to come up with three distinct personality characteristics. These traits are loyalty, open mindedness, and perfectionism. In the paper I have had some pretty common experiences but I may have reacted to them in an uncommon way. Which has lead me to develop some characteristics that other might have developed in a different way. Altogether this paper will be about how my life experiences have shaped my personality. Personality Characteristics Perfectionism can be seen as many things. People often view it as the obsession of being perfect all the time while I see it as striving to do the most excellent job I possibly can. My high school education wasn’t the best. Everyone knew it wasn’t the best. It worked out for the teachers because they had a salary and as long as they met the district’s “standards” there wouldn’t be any problems. This allowed the other students to start slacking and not do their schoolwork. The work got extremely easier and the students’ ability to retain knowledge became a lot more difficult. By the time I attended school the situation was completely out of control. I started to look at the graduates of my school and they weren’t doing anything with their life. I started to do the best I could in every single class. I
