The government in 2012 released 3.5 billion dollars to The Native American Reservations, which for 350,000 people is equivalent to 1000 dollars (Volz, “$3.4B Indian Lawsuit Ends, Disbursements to Begin”). However, how far might this money go in a struggling household? The insufficient environment that Native Americans live in is nothing like we might find in any cities in the Northwest. The lack of motivation caused by years of not having a job and watching your family suffer in poverty is a condition that not too many of us are familiar with.
The diets of today’s Americans exceed the amount of calories humans should consume, yet greatly lack in nutrition. Humans have roamed the earth for several millenniums; for the vast majority of that time, we ate only natural occurring substances which weren’t plentiful in quantity, but contained much more nutrition than the majority of today’s foods. Humans have developed the ability to live everywhere in the world which resulted in a great variety of diets. People in the arctic ate primarily animal fat and muscle, while people in warmer environments were more exposed to fruits and vegetables; either way they were lean and healthy. Our diets today primarily consist of processed foods which have only existed for not even half a century.

Since there are approximately 500.000 gas wells in America, this means that almost 4 billion gallons of water resources are being used in this process. Moreover, only 30% of the water can be recycled for reuse, which means that 2.8 billion gallons of water is gone (Inglesby & Jenks & Nyquist & Pinner, 2012). In addition, using huge amounts of water may cause a shortage near fracking areas. This issue is highly controversial issue in United States.
