There are three Europe’s namely Institutional Europe, Pan-Europe and Civilizational Europe. Institutional Europe is represented by the official European integration, and the most important form is the European Union (EU), which has 27 member states till 2007 and is a successful supra-national institution in the world. Pan-Europe brings the whole continent together, and is based on inclusivity and the principle of the universal applicability of human rights and democratic aspirations. Civilizational Europe is about the emergence of people and cultures to a single cultural space, through cultural coherence and exchange. The final goal for the three Europe’s is all about European integration and unity, so that they are compatible with each other. Institutional Europe, Pan-Europe and Civilizational Europe are all aimed to integrate Europe but with different dimensions. The most representative body of Institutional Europe—European Union, with “unity in diversity” as a core value, brings European countries together but also keeps their diversity. With 23 official languages and different cultures of various countries, it unifies and collectively shown as European culture. Similarly in China, there are many communities speaking in various dialects and with different cultures, but they share the same origin and can integrate as a whole. The EU integrates by using a common currency Euro, which 17 of the 27 members use it as the official currency. Besides, people can travel across borders freely throughout most of the EU countries, which makes Europe get more close together. EU blue card and EU passports are also implemented, to give people a sense of unification. As in China, there is also only a single currency RMB, people also need not to show travel documents to customs when they travel between cities of China, as well as having a single passport for Chinese
