Hi, my name is Satish Balasubramanium (yes it is a mouthful) and I am going to tell you about my life being a part of the Brahmins in the Caste System in India. I am twenty-one years old and I am very successful. I live in a yellow mansion with purple columns and blue windows. It is on 37 Aurangabad Street in the region of Madhya Pradesh. That crazy house is the fashions around here, since it symbolizes our wealth and superiority. To start my morning, I wake up and stretch. I then take a cleansing bath, where my servants scrub me of all filth. After getting dressed, I eat my special breakfast. Our diets cannot consist of onions, garlic, or tomatoes and I also cannot have any meat, since it is polluted. I then put on my clothes and get carried by my servants to my school. (http://www.csuchico.edu/~cheinz/syllabi/asst001/fall97/adra-pin.htm) Everyday, I go to work at my own school that I named Balasubramin, after my last name and my caste. I am a scholar and teach others of my caste and Kshatriyas, any age. I am available to teach whatever they need and I am known to be the best there is, in this profession. I mostly instruct boys of the twice-born castes in Sanskrit and the Vedas because they are in need of knowledge. Like today, I had my private lesson with Abhishek Chattopadhyay, son of Siddharth Chattopadhyay, another member of my caste and also my priest. He was being taught the language of Sanskrit, in more detail. He, like many of my other students, need to be almost fluent if they are going to be priests, since they have to chant. If I have any, my extra time is spent
