Zipcar Introduction In this worksheet i will write about a US company, named Zipcar, this company main function is the rental or cars, providing automobile reservations to its members billable by the hour or day. A little introduction into Zipcar; it was founded in 2000 by Cambridge, Massachusetts residents Antje Danielson and Robin Chase, and is now led by Scott Griffith, chairman and executive chief Executive Officer. Since the beginning of the company, the mission of the company is to make it easy for city residents to get behind the wheel of a car as it is to get a coffee or paper. This company was not the first, or the last in the market, but it has a new concept, new ways to do things, new standards, social responsibility, which meant that there was plenty of opportunity and growth potential. The users of Zipcar, can get a new car, without be aware of insurance, gasoline. Zipcar main goal is to provide cars in a very attractive and accessible price, to people. Any user can access thru apps, internet, phone, etc. This situation make very accessible the introduction and involvement into the company, once you get in and prove it, is very difficult, almost impossible to change of provider of this kind of service. Zip Car was intended to build a real and long- term growth potential. They have ambitious targets, but they are being very realistic and did not over extend it. The company started in Boston Massachusetts, and now days they are established in five other states. Zipcar is actually invested a lot in new cars, new technology, also they are investing a lot in publicity campaigns, public relations. Zipcar is looking to increase revenue thru providing its customers with convenience and cost savings while making a strong a powerful care environmental campaign.
