Nowadays, young people are growing up in the modern society where they have a lot of good living conditions. However, our society is also facing many social evils such as crime or drug abuse. One of the problems that I want to mention in this essay is the youth violence. It not only hurts the people’s physical but also worsens the relationship among people. Thus, eliminating it is the essential duty to improve our life quality. What are the causes of youth violence? To answer this question, let’s discuss some causes of youth violence: influence from movies and living environment, especially the poverty. One of the causes of youth violence is the influence of movies. The speedy development of technology has brought us more and more benefits, but everything has an opposite side. To attract more and more people to consume films or games, the producers have produced a lot of the action ones. Profit is their top target. Young people are the ones who easily are affected by movies. Today, parents don’t have time to raise their children because they have to work hard to ensure the financial source. It is very sad when young people nowadays watch movies more than talk to their parents. As a result, the images from the action film accidentally have a strong influence on young people in forming their attitude and behavior. They love and admire the film characters more than their parents. They like to imitate the thoughts, gestures and behaviours of characters of films. For example, when my brother studied at high school in Vietnam, he made my parents so upset because he fought with his friends a lot. Moreover, he was the leader of a gang whose members were willing to hit someone they didn’t like. What was the cause that made my younger brother become a gangster while he used to be a nice guy?
