The fourth plane crashed into an open field in western Pennsylvania. Some people on that plane started to call friends and family to tell them what was happening. It was believed that the fourth plane was also intended to crash in to the pentagon aswell. The attacks between the towers and the pentagon cost more than 3000 deaths. President Bush announced the U.S intention to fight its own war again against terrorism worldwide.
The emotional and mental stress that would be caused by having such a Mosque, a daily reminder of the religion that those who carried out the bombings felt an allegiance to, is something that is completely unnecessary for those who have already been through such hardships. While the religion itself is clearly not responsible for the attacks, the fact that there is any type of reminder surrounding Ground Zero would be something that would be an awful memory provoker for multitudes of individuals. The fact that Ground Zero has become not only a site of individual remembrance for this attack, but also a place for American unity and a sense of commemoration for all fallen heroes that the country has seen, also means that this should be a respected area that is left alone and preserved. People come to Ground Zero to observe and respect their heroes as well as innocent civilians, and to change such an area would be a great disservice to those who died so

Members of Al Qaudea, hijacked American Air Line’s airplanes, and crashed them into many buildings such as the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and were possibly going toward the White House. The third plane hit the western side of the Pentagon, and the fourth plane was targeted at the U.S. capitol, but it crashed into a nearby field. One reason for the attack was because of the U.S. foreign policy, Osama didn’t like how the U.S. support Israel. He thought that the U.S. foreign policy oppressed and killed Muslims. After the terrorist attack on September 11, many actions were made after this incident, like the Department of Homeland Security, the Patriot Act, and the Transportation Security Administration. First, the
September 11, 2001 completely changed not only the United States, but the entire world as we know it. On that very day 19 militants associated with the terrorist group al-Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out suicidal missions upon the targets on U.S. soil. Alyssa Tullis Professor Carole Carroll English 1301 1 October 2012 9/11: God is always there. September 11, 2001, the day America’s worst fear came to life. On this tragic day the World Trade Center and the Pentagon fell to ashes at the hands of terrorists. Witnessing the acts of terror in my own country really changed my perspective on life and I now have a different point of view on how I see the world and the people in it. On the fateful day of September 11, 2001, nineteen terrorists from the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda coordinated four suicide attacks on the United States in the New York and Washington D.C areas.
Just because you are the same religion, color, or even in the same family as these people doesn’t define the person that you are. Everybody is different in their heart, and have their own ways as a human. Now we see on television or even in real life, that Islamic people are getting mistreated and talked about because of 9-11. All of this brought the beginning of war with terrorism, on Afghanistan and Iraq. This war has caused so much drama and conflicts to the United States as well as many other countries which includes our presidents, many human lives, and not to forget our military branches.
9/11 Attacks On the Tuesday morning of September 11, 2001 we faced a devastating attack from Al Qaeda. Osama bin Laden was the leader during the time and many years afterwards. He was believed to be the leader of the Al Qaeda network and would be hunted down for ten years after these events. Just weeks before the dreadful day of 9/11 a group of Islamic Terrorists came in to the country looking like normal U.S. citizens. They took the first 2 weeks to learn how to fly air planes so they could high jack them and carry out their mission.
President Obama's statement on Aug. 13 endorsing "the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan" has unleashed another storm of partisan bloviating. Obama is "pandering to radical Islam," says Newt Gingrich; John Boehner finds Obama's comments "deeply troubling." On this issue, the
People were so upset because they were afraid that sending troops to Iraq would take the focus off of Afghanistan and the mission to find Bin Laden. Seeing the way that people just turn against and decide that they want to kill innocent people just does not make since. Looking at this serious situation, many people see that the September 11th attacks badly because it was more of a modern day situation. Also it was in the United States, which we live in. The attack was a very tragic and hurting time in American history.
