The Worst day of my life and also a life changing experience was when someone took my uncle kevin’s life.
My uncle had a job working over night at pensacola, he worked as a crane mover. I’ll leave him at the bus top everyday at 4:00 P.M. and from their, he took several busses to get to work. On June 12, 1998 he had finished work, clocked out and left. It was 5:36 A.M .My uncle was crossing the street to get to the bus stop. As he was crossing the street a car came out of nowhere going well over the speeding limit struck my uncle making him fly over 30 ft. The hit was so hard that both of his shoes came right off after the hit.
A lady from across the street called 911 right away, after what I just happen.
The cops came to the scene and notice that the driver of the Bentley was responding. The cops did an alcohol test and failed it. The arrested him and took him to the county jail. The next day the driver of the car Billy was release on bail. All we had to do now is just wait for the results from the test Billy took. It took a week to get the results, that week waiting for those results seems months to me. It felt like it took longer than a week .
When I heard the results from the test he took I wasn’t surprise, he failed it.
He was well over the alcohol limit from the police report, which I don’t understand why it took so long to get at least the police report right away or at least the next day. Well the results it said that Billy was under the influence, he smoked weed that night at the club. Moments after my family got the results every local news channel and sports channel were on the case. They wouldn’t stop taking about the incident, which made it a little hard on my family. We couldn’t flip thru the channels without one local channel talking about the accident.
I had the new reporters from each local news coming to my house or waiting for someone to come out of my home. So they can ask a million questions. It was hard because my family couldn’t be in...
