Working in retail can be very fun having happy customers shopping around and great team work with your coworkers. But it can also be very stressful dealing with rude customers or having to clean up after people when they leave a pile of clothes where it doesn’t belong. Besides that, retail is always about working as a team with your coworkers, trying to help out customers if they are finding all there sizes or if they need help looking for a specific thing. Customer service is a big part in retail, but also a very important job in retail is doing shipment to get out merchandise in the sales floor, so it can be ready for customers to look at and shop for. At the end of the day it’s the employee’s responsibility to maintain a clean environment in the store for it to be safe for customers and coworkers. Retail may look easy, but there are a lot of tasks to do while working. Have you ever walked in a store and you are greeted very nicely by an employee? This is called customer service. In retail, this is very important. The reason why is because, it makes the customer feel welcome in the store and lets him/her know who is the employee is and who to go to if they ever need help or have a question. One important thing in retail is to be very active asking every customer you walk by if he/she are finding everything okay or if he/she are finding all the appropriate sizes. This is important because many times stores don’t have a certain size or style out in the sales floor, but there might be a great chance there may be one in the stock room. If this option doesn’t work, there is also another option, which is calling another store to see if they have the item for the customer. Customer service is very helpful for a customer and keeps the customer welcome and happy. At the end of the day when the store is closed, the employees’ responsibilities are to put back clothes in
