Growing up Online The Frontline program “Growing up Online” explores the first generation to come of age on the internet. I found the different ways parents and teachers are dealing with this to be interesting. The program interviews teachers with a variety of opinions about this generation. Rose Porpora, an English teacher at Chatham High School, is trying to hang on to the old way of teaching, before major advancements in technology. She feels like a dinosaur and her students are more technologically savvy than she is.

Mr. Collet is then able to quickly see who has turned in homework and who has not. He also has provided the opportunity to each parent to purchase a daily planner; the planner allows the student to write down daily homework assignments for each class period and parents may follow up by looking at the planner nightly to ensure that the work is getting completed. Through weebly students can also take extra lessons when they are at home. These lessons are provided by teachers to students in order to improve their knowledge of the certain topics.
