This may cause difficulties because the child could become neglected. Also the child may be looked after by the state because the parent might be unable to meet the needs of the child so they may be better in care until the parent is able to cope again. Interviewer: Do you think any other reasons? Interviewer: I think maltreatment to the child because if the parent has abused the child then they don't deserve to keep the child and the child would be better off in care and away from their family. Also if we left the child in this situation it could lead to death of the child and it wouldn’t be right so if there is any sign of abuse then we will investigate in the situation.
Children who have run away behaviour those parents find difficult to manage alone. Also children who truancy off school is another behaviour that may lead to the child’s needs to be placed in the foster care systems. Deaths: Sometimes children have to be put in care because family are unable to care for the child after the death of a parent children maybe looked after by the local authority most often it is because the child’s parents or the people who have parental responsibilities and rights to look after the child are unable to care for them. Have been neglected them or the child has committed an offence his local authority has specific responsibilities and duties for a child who is being looked after such as: 1. The local authority accommodation under a voluntary arrangement where the child’s patents agree to the child being
Building trust with parents or carers will result in them knowing that the nursery is a very good place for their child as it offers a great amount of help and support, which is especially important for new parents or carers. Other professionals It is also important to partner with other professionals as they will offer the support and services, where needed, to improve the overall development of the child. For example, a speech and language therapist may assist a child with communication difficulties. Another example would be a play therapist to diagnose, prevent or resolve a child with psychosocial challenges. Multi-disciplinary teams It is very important that everyone in a multi disciplinary team work in partnership.
More recently laws have begun to change due to the research that shows children benefit from having both parents involved in their parenting. Laws now look at the relationship the parent had with the child and the level of involvement before the divorce, this is based on the idea that consistent care by the same caregiver is best for the child as it is less stress on them to be separated from that attachment that they already had (Demo & Fine, 2010, p. 67-68). Although there are many negative effects this change is not always a negative it can turn out to be a positive for
Foster Care does more harm than good Foster Care is a system established to enhance the lives of children without stable homes to reside in. I have friends and associates that have been raised in an unstable institution, group home, or private foster care home. I don’t believe that all children that come from a foster care situation end up becoming delinquents to our society. I think most foster care children don’t feel loved and appreciated, this could be a result of why foster children don’t demonstrate much love and affection towards their foster parents. In this discussion I want my audience to understand how unstable our foster care system is these days.
Name: Reniella Padilla Title & Number: TDA 2.1 CHILD AND YOUNG PERSON DEVELOPMENT 2.1 DESCRIBE WITH EXAMPLES THE KINDS OF INFLUENCES THAT AFFECT CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S DEVELOPMENT. BACKGROUND • Family Dynamics Family is a fundamental social group in society typically consisting of one or two parents and their children. Families are very important to children’s lives when they are growing up. Some children do not grow up with their families they grow up in a foster family or in the care where local authorities take care of them. But some of the children who live with their family can be closer or not closer to them this can affect their confidence and their education.
Family plays a huge role in building strong and positive relationship with member of their family and friends. And it also builds good connection. So therefore children who are from a happy home and parents are support are less like to full to bullying. They know that they are being love and negativity would get to their mind. They have a good esteem.
However, if the circumstances are right thus, the adoption process can benefit a child and the new parents in ways neither could have before. There may be a child that was given up as a baby. This is because the baby could have had mental problems or the parents just were not financially ready for a child. If this were the cause that child may only know foster parents of the foster homes, no real family. The child may have been taken by the state, due to abusive parents or drug addict care givers.
In certain situations putting a child or a young person in a foster home would be an advantage to some families if they are having really bad problems. For e.g. if the parents are going through a divorce and the child is distraught about the situation it would be good if the child is put into a foster home temporarily. If a child or a young person is getting into the wrong crowd for e.g. taking drugs or selling drugs and doing illegal things it would be best if the family of the young person puts them into a foster home so they have professional help.
Recidivism is a big problem I this country, too many inmates return back to prison after being released. Many citizens are affected by this as well as the x-convicts and their families. Many children of convicts grow up without their father and could end up in prison themselves. It seems that these x-inmates have no chance to be reformed. This problem exists because there are not enough programs to help inmates be reformed and the little programs that are available they are implemented only after the inmate is released and not in the prison itself.
