The ability to persuade and convince others to accept one's argument or reasoning is such a skill, even though that some people are more gifted at it than others. Good leaders should also have integrity of character and lead by example. These qualities, which go to make up character, can be instilled as well. Leadership learning is a life activity. It can never be done because there is always more to learn.
My personal philosophy about what being a leader is is that I need to be inspiring. This is because I believe in the potential of people that I work with. So if I’m not inspiring and people do not feel that I believe in them, they cannot rise up to the challenge and by extension, above themselves. So if I have to state one more important characteristic of a leader, it would be that he has to be inspirational. I say this in the context of running a business, not political or social change wise.
Teams respect is usually based on their ranks rather than these qualities and skills. May cause resentment among the team and can cause other team members to feel devalued. This style of leadership is effective in the fact that it is time effective and there is a clear distinction between the leaders and the team. However, I think this should only be used in groups where the team is
A leader needs to be ambitious otherwise he will only procrastinate and never achieve anything. Being ambitious is “having a desire to achieve a particular goal” and never giving up, therefore a leader like this will bring a better result to the country. Lastly a leader needs to be a good communicator and listener because he needs to express his thoughts and feelings clearly. Furthermore not many people are good listener which sometime makes them ignorant and the importance of being a good listener is to listen to other people’s views, thoughts and problems. To be a good communicator you need to be a good listener because that brings patience and time to reflect what is the correct decision to take and to tell people.
There is success and then there is failure, no one I know in their right mind would want to be a failure, they may think they are because of circumstances but in ways failure can be motivation towards success. It causes you to have more effort and be more focused and driven to not let things affect you on your quest to success. Motivation will keep me on my feet and, have me next in line to success because it is really important to keep the motivation rolling, so as to feel like there is hope and, that all that you are doing to be successful is not a waste of time or in vain because it will eventually pay off in the end. In a number of ways, if you constantly think you are a failure and this and that, the way you think may turn to eventually be reality. Success is not the same route for everyone, you will have something that works for you but not the next person because it all depends on you.
One important aspect of all of this is that perception is required in all steps of this model. This is just one of the many ways in which leaders can learn to become better at leading, but it is not the entirely representative of how leaders learn to lead and come to be. Becoming a leader requires that a person train for it; it requires the person obtain experience through practice and education. Leadership through Experience Experience plays a very important role in leadership. There could not be many great leaders if they did not go through some type of experience or play some sort of role that led them to where they are.
It is not difficult to notice that today’s generation faces with some very serious issues. One of them is that there is a dilemma about the lack of effective leadership. The reason why we have such challenges in today’s world is due to the ineffective leadership. People who have power and influence on making decisions often are concerned with self-service and preoccupation of power instead of being concerned with other people’s welfare. However, there is stil no compromise on which qualities make a person a good leader or how someone can develop himself as a good leader if he is not one.
To be morally courageous is to have the confidence to speak what you believe in or think regardless of the consequences or people's thoughts. Although it is a vital quality, many people lack this fundamental in effectuating change. Robert F. Kennedy says, "Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality of those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change."
However, I always feel that they won’t learn if not given a chance to try and improve themselves. I tend to also be very confident in my own work. I trust myself first and foremost. I’m not close to constructive criticism or getting help form others. However, I like to be a leader because I feel that at the end of the day, even if I do incorporate the ideas of others, the end results should come from me in order to reassure myself that
Authoritarian leadership can be useful and beneficial within some of the public services. When decisions need to be made quickly and without ideas or comments being made from other team members. A strong independent person would need to take on the lead of being in charge and being the leader, because this style is used in situations when things need to be done quickly the leader must know what they are doing and have a good solid idea and what they want doing and how they want it done by other members in their team. In different, stressful task, for example, during military conflicts, members of the group may prefer to have a team leader who makes all the important decisions and they may also prefer to have someone telling them what needs to be done and how they need to do it, therefore they will not have
