Why is it important to be fit and healthy? Being fit and healthy would be a main key to a happy lifestyle. Being fit and healthy means a variety of different things in different areas. Everyone lacks more in health areas than others. No area in health will particularly assist in anymore ways. Different people have stronger abilities in different health areas. For example someone may be very social and have many friends but have a very unhealthy diet and barely do exercise. This person may not realise it but although they are having fun with friends they could end up with some serious health problems and could even shorten their life span. This is why it is important to find a balance that caters for all needs. There are five main categories that reference being fit and healthy: physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual. Physical: Physical health is one of the main health areas, it implies to nutritious eating for keeping the body energised, fitness and exercise, body health, good sleeping hours etc. These are all important to physical health which is important to perform daily basis movement and requirements. Mental: Mental health is based around knowledge, mental skill and brain development. Mental health is an important part of everyday life helping us think and act appropriately when required. Mental health assists us daily when we are working, writing, concentrating etc. Mental health is what keeps us stable. Emotional: Emotional health in some ways aligns with mental health, although emotional health is based around us coping with our problems and feelings. People who lack in emotional stability could feel: depression, anxiety, hopelessness making them unsure or unstable about things. Emotional state can be controlled by communication, acceptance, strength and self-confidence; these can uplift the emotional state making one happy as
