A good education is very beneficial from many different viewpoints. In the employment and academic world, you can only be as effective as your communication skills will allow you to be. I have always been told that no matter how proficient your technical skills may be, if you can’t communicate your ideas to others you cannot function effectively or successfully. Getting a college education is more than just attaining a degree. Of course while achieving a college education and pursuing a life-long career you will meet so many different people. Whether they actually are there to stay and help you along the way or even if you just see them in passing, you will have seen so many different faces and have been so many places. Many of the best influential career networking contacts I have had the pleasure of meeting have been mostly my peers and even some of my instructors. There is nothing like interacting with others who share the same aspirations and goals as you. At the same time I am able to enjoy the benefits of a great social life, parties, and lots of friends. The more connections I encounter during my college career, the more options I will be sure to have when I begin my job search. Likewise, a college education opens up doors to endless opportunities. A high school education just doesn’t make the cut anymore. A high school education nowadays is a prerequisite for college enrollment as a college education is a prerequisite for a career. Most high school graduates today are unable to obtain the number of high-paying jobs that were once available.
