The “Magic Number 4”, Bobby Orr, was a star player in the NHL in the late 1960’s to the mid 1970’s. His achievements and defining moments as a hockey player continue to be highlighted and discussed today and will forever be honoured in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Robert Gordon Orr (Bobby Orr) was born March 20th, 1948 in the town of Parry Sound, Ontario. From a very young age, Bobby Orr started skating and quickly demonstrated a passion for hockey.
Life Orientation Name of Game: Duster Hockey Rules: The game can be played by 2 or more players in each team. Teams face each other in parallel lines about 5m apart. Number off the lines from opposite ends so that the first two are at opposite ends of their lines. The game leader calls out a number that corresponds to a player from each team. They jump up, grab their boffer (placed in the centre along with the ball) and try and hit the ball between their goals to win.
However as dangerous as they are, they should not be allowed in any other non professional hockey league on the globe. Just the National Hockey League. Why? Because the players make millions of dollars a year, and its there job to entertain, even if that means putting your body on the line. A army soldier makes not even 10 percent of what an National Hockey League player makes, meanwhile they are at a much higher (approximately 3 soldiers die per week, there has never been an on ice death related to an injury from playing hockey).
