Why does forgetting occcur? The brain can store a vast number of memories, In the past several decades, cognitive psychologists have determined that sometimes forgetting occurs because a disuse, but others studies have shown that we forget what we no longer need to remember, material that is not used is soon forgotten, for over the years this has been a very accepted fact, but nowadays this is an old and no longer completely accepted theory. In this life we are living, in the cities, with so many people around sometimes forgetting occurs because of interference, there are many things that could work as interference, but some studies show that if you learn A, then learn B, when you try to recall A, B interferes, but then when you finally can recall A you can´t recall B so the learning of A interferes with the learning of B.
