It felt great to have good grades and to know that I tried my best to make it happen. From 6th grade to 9th grade, I learned that if I actually tried my hardest, then I could succeed. I choose the maxim “No one knows what he can do until he tries” because I never knew what I could actually achieve academically until I tried and truly gave my all. I believe that if you don’t think you can do it, you should ask if you are truly trying your hardest. I hope that people can learn from my mistakes and give it their
The great debate on rationalism versus Empiricism, whether to believe in a priori or a Posteriori knowledge has many of great arguments from both the rationalists and the empiricists. Are you just a, Tabula Rasa, blank slate or is all knowledge formed by Reason? As this debate grabs your mind and twists it to the reality it may already belong in. How can we know anything of itself, are our minds just wandering in an alternate reality? A quote by Albert Einstein “Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” one of the most influential people discussing limitations on the rational mind.
An important reason why I do my work in class is because I want to improve my performance. TRUE 11. If I do poorly on an assignment or a test, it is usually the instructor’s fault. FALSE 12. Effort is more important than natural ability for doing well in school.
My second issue would be my ability to proofread. I always miss something when I proof read, once my other half reads it, he finds it right away, but I just cannot see all of my own errors. I would say my third problem is tone. Sometimes I am not sure which tone to use and if it is being conveyed correctly. I plan to work on all of these things, I am sure this class will help me learn all the skills needed to make my papers better.
It doesn’t matter how much damage it could cause, you are intentionally harming people. This would make it wrong all the time, because you know the products that you are selling are going to harm someone. With the second definition this becomes a little blurry. In a free market you should be able to sell your products at whatever price you want to. But it becomes wrong when you are selling your products at such a low price that you put all other companies out of business.
However for the few Caucasian students, my friends say that they were always pushed to succeed, not out of the doors. One of my friends, Brittney, would say how simply because her parents were on welfare that she felt as if she would just amount to that in her future if she did not have any support. That story stood out to me when you stated “a supportive and trusting environment provides ‘identity security’ to students, who are then emotionally more ready to challenge the stereotypical myths” (196). The previous quote really hit home for me. All it really takes is for one teacher, just one, to give you the extra push that you need to succeed academically.
In the other hand, if such reasoned conclusions are only built originally upon a organization of sense perceptions, then the arguments what are being considered. They lead us to our most logical conclusions, they can never be said to be certain because they are built upon
For example, my weakness is English in school, but I am getting stronger at it because I push myself through limitations rather than give up when I have reached my limit. Knowing how far you can push yourself is a key factor to learn during your growth as a person. You never want to give up and just stop striving to be improved more than you were yesterday, or last week, or last year even. The understanding that you don’t have to kill yourself to be better is a good way to measure your strengths durability. Just remembering that people defy logical strength all
In my essay I will examine three things I need to do to change my attitude on my education these things are; go to totoring, study, and stop procrastinating. I am doing exceptionally well in all my classes except for one Ms. Boykin’s Algebra II class. It is my fault because I don’t wake up early enough to go to tutoring in the mornings. My strategy for the 2nd semester is to study and to stay on top of make up work when I am absent and go to tutoring to get help on things I don’t understand. Since high school I’ve been doing poorly in math but, I’m not going to let it get the best of me and I will do what ever is necessary in order to pass and graduate in June.
Hard work is something learned through being challenged and if a child is not challenged in their early years of education they will typically slack off in their high school and college years when hard work becomes key to success. The intelligent person doesn't have to work as hard to succeed because they'll use their intelligence to make the right choices & see connections that lead them to successful conclusions. But they do still have to work. An intelligent but lazy person could end up being equal to a less intelligent but hard working person. In general: Hard work + Intelligence = Very good grades.
